kind of hilarious that every teacher knows that the only teacher fully able to reel band kids in is our director and if i’m being a little shit they bother him on break

#yes i bickered with the drama teacher again. at least i don’t explode at people anymore #but like. our director is an amazing teacher and genuinely respects us #whereas the drama teacher picks favorites and patronizes and insults students she doesn’t like #and loses her temper very easily #and it’s like. i understand that having disrespectful students is deeply frustrating #i had to manage 4 year olds in a karate class when i was 8 #but i was EIGHT and she is an ADULT #she shouldn’t be shouting at 14-15 year olds #(nearly everyone over sophomore is there because they want to and not because they’re trying things or think it’s an easy credit) #(there’s some ppl who want to be there in the underclassmen grades too but yk) #even /i/ didn’t SHOUT at the 4 year olds and i was an EXTREMELY short fused third grader #the only time our director has shouted is when ppl are literally putting themselves in danger #‘problem with authority’ sorry but respect is a 2 way street. #if ur in authority and patronize/insult/intentionally mistreat the ppl ur in charge of #i won’t respect ur authority unless not doing so literally puts lives in danger (ie like. cops) #(i don’t respect cops but i don’t want to die or want others to die) #rzr speaks
