#this show makes me SO INSANE #I could write a literal essay on yeon-jin as a character she’s sooooooooo compelling to me like!!!!!! #the way she truly believes with her whole heart that she’s superior to others bc of how she was born (rich beautiful smart etc) #the way she was taught by her own mother that self-reflection is not only useless but ACTIVELY HARMFUL #the way she’s excellent at manipulation but has a giant blind spot bc she can’t conceptualize other people not seeing her as #inherently superior. so when she tries to manipulate someone who doesn’t see her that way (like her husband or dong-eun) she fails #but she doesn’t REALIZE she’s failed bc it literally doesn’t fit into her worldview #god.
