shit we were talking abt today abt trying to maintain control and a sense of safety nd how to other ppl who cant or dont understand theyll perceive it as stupid or inconsequential bc its a small thing but its a trigger nd smth ingrained in u okayyy

#🤓🤓🤓🤓🤓🤓🤓 #therapist gave an example abt how a client had an argument w partner abt putting shoes in the right place nd to the partner its like not a #big deal and inconsequential to the client as a child if things werent in the right place it was a problem in the household and they dealt w #negstive consequence or abuse so theyre trying to maintain a sense of safety like Okay #🤓👍 #Meeeee. #like it wasnt abuse in my case but yeah it was like a pattern of getting yelled at or criticism and arguments that #were never resolved! if i like left a fork out #🤓 #and realizing like conflict in my household as a kid was NEVER resolved there was never a sense of safety or being ok after a huge fight or #a berating it was just ignored and put away and nver talked abt again LOL
