He turns his gaze away at the words, shoulders rising towards his ears defensively. That’s not something he wants to hear from his brother, not when they were finally being reunited after all these years. 

And he’s not naive or stupid. He knows, deep down, that things can never go back to the way they were, he knows he can’t change his brother’s behavior. He was a villain now, he had killed people, and would no doubt kill more people in the future. 

But he didn’t care. He was still Touya. Still his big brother that had played with him and protected him from their father, gave him attention when no one else did. He wasn’t going to let him go again. He didn’t care what he had to do to keep Touya from leaving him behind again. 

“You don’t get to say that,” he says softly, but with a determined note. He turns his gaze back to the other man and reaches out to grab at his sleeve, clutching onto it tightly. “Only I can decide what’s a waste of my time. And you’re not a waste, nii-san. Not to me, okay? Never to me...” His voice drops to a whisper towards the end, lowering his face once more as he fights back the tears.

“Kinda...” Most of it was correct if she’s honest with herself. She was a daddy’s girl, his youngest child, and his favorite, as she had inherited his quirk and made it stronger. Then there were the lofty heroic ideals she held so high. She wanted justice overall for people. She wanted to save people. Naive though, she didn’t want that to be true, she just wanted to see the good in people. Even if she was proven wrong time and time again.

She was walking back to her dorms at night. It was rare for her to be out so late, but it was a weekend and she had visited a friend. Her solar-powered suit was running low on energy, Hikaru could feel it as she turned the corner, she was being followed.

Before she could say anything, a figure appeared in front of her, as if he had moved faster than her eye could track. The smell of fire and cyan eyes made her step backward. "What do you want? Aren't you a villain?"

There's a tilt of his head. Her mind was calculating a way to get around him. She would have to use the last of her energy. “ The  only  difference  between  a  hero  and  a  villain,  is  who’s  telling  the  story. ” Hikaru looked up again, taking another step backward, "And who is telling your story? Why follow me?" Let him talk... Maybe she could get back to the dorms by going around him.
