SITCOM-BASED 1X1 PLOTS:

under the cut, you will find a list of 1x1 plots based on sitcoms i used to watch while growing up. i used to make these a lot before deactivating my old account. these are all inspired by my recent venture into 1x1s after a couple years of straying away from it. please reblog if these plots helped you and you’d like to use it for yourself. please like if you’d like to try out these plots with me!

BOY MEETS WORLD:

MUSE A and MUSE B have known each other since they were very little. over time, they began to grow apart. right now, these two could not be more different. MUSE A treats MUSE B with a lack of compassion, but that’s due to peer pressure more than anything. however, as they age, MUSE A is starting to see glimpses of the person they held hands with on the playground and moreover, they’re starting to see them in a romantic light. MUSE B is a bit more independent, due to the romantic history their parents had with one another. will they be able to make things work?

THAT 70S SHOW, PART A:

MUSE C and MUSE D have been next door neighbors for forever. as they became older, they started to hang around the same stoned social group, where two of their mutual pals seem to go at it like rabbits. however, they’re a bit slower than their pals. hell, MUSE C only realized that they were in love with MUSE D fairly recently. the only problem? MUSE D is the bold one. MUSE C has never made the first move. will this jeopardize their chances? furthermore, will the reveal jeopardize their friendship?

THAT 70S SHOW, PART B:

MUSE E has quite the history with romantic and sexual partners. they’ve grown up wealthy and as such, it’s been easier for them to receive what they wanted. meanwhile, MUSE F is a bit of a lone wolf. they’re broke as broke can be, but they don’t seem to mind all that much. as long as they have enough money to get weed, they’re content with their life. these two are from the same friend group, but they’ve been enemies for as long as time could tell. MUSE E has always been arrogant towards the other and MUSE F has always been incredibly sarcastic. recently, MUSE E got out of a relationship. for the first time, MUSE F has started to feel those butterflies in their stomach whenever MUSE E is around. are their feelings beginning to change?

SAVED BY THE BELL:

MUSE G is a natural schemer and troublemaker. meanwhile, MUSE H is possibly the hottest, most popular person on their college campus. MUSE G knows what they want and they want MUSE H. the only problem? MUSE H already has someone else pining over them. meanwhile, MUSE G keeps risking expulsion every chance they get. will MUSE G be able to win MUSE H over without any tricks up their sleeve?

FRIENDS, PART A:

MUSE I and MUSE J have been off-and-on-again ever since they first met a couple years ago. at the end of the day, they know that they belong together, but real life keeps getting in the way of any long-term success they could have with one another. they keep getting involved with others as a way to distract themselves. however, at MUSE J’S wedding, they recently accidentally blurted out MUSE I’s name during their vows. this has seemed to change things for them. will they be able to get together, where they know they belong? or instead, will they continue trying to distance themselves?

FRIENDS, PART B:

MUSE K is friends with MUSE L’s brother. MUSE L calls themselves “perpetually single”. meanwhile, MUSE K uses sarcasm as a means to distract from their own emotions. these two were pretty stationary and boring up until the wedding of a mutual friend. in the aftermath of the chaos, MUSE K and MUSE L booked a hotel room together, where they slept together for the first time. from there, they entered a relationship together. however, they now have to face the burden of keeping their relationship a secret in front of all their close friends. will they be able to keep it a secret or instead, will they blow their cover and make things awkward for the rest of the group? 

FRIENDS, PART C:

MUSE M and MUSE N have always been close friends. they’ve watched as all of their friends entered relationships with one another. meanwhile, these two have stayed single throughout this entire time. they’re both seen as quite the oddballs of their friend group and as such, these two are a bit of outsiders to the rest of the group. however, now that their other friends are distracted by their own relationships with one another, these two are able to explore and experiment with their own feelings for one another. will things work out or are they doomed to stay single forever?

HOW I MET YOUR MOTHER:

MUSE O has had quite the history with previous partners of theirs. however, they’ve had their eyes on MUSE P since MUSE P first moved into town. MUSE O is quite the hopeless romantic. however, MUSE P has stated on a regular basis that they just don’t do relationships, due to their own lack of trust. this doesn’t stop MUSE P from thinking about MUSE O, though. MUSE P has a bit of a jealousy streak, so whenever MUSE O gets a new partner, MUSE P knows that they have to stay away for a bit. will these two be able to put aside their own pasts aside and face the future together?
