i never realised how nice my professors were until certain events happened

so out physics exam spans over the course of two days (you get to pick which day you want) and some of the people who took it today apparently had a mishap with their exam and only got one formula sheet instead of two, so they evidentially weren't able to do a bulk of the exam. they contacted him, and he ended up talking with the exam proctoring people and got it fixed for them ;-; also he's a really nice person to talk to and is really chill because i've been able to talk to him once when i ran into him out of class and since our class has become so small now rip you're able to make a closer connection with him

and then my bio prof is literally the sweetest person ever i love her sm 😭 we got to go over our last exam and one of my friends and i went to go see what questions we got wrong and since we were the last people in the class we ended up leaving at the same time as her and we got to talk to her about the class, how our exam went and oh. my. god she's so sweet i just- like,, idk maybe it's where i went to high school and asian culture but it was so cut throat and then hearing her talk about how exams weren't meant to knock you down but rather show you how much you knew about the class AND even though our class is like,, 200-300 kids big she somehow knows my name? maybe it's because i talk to her a lot about random questions i have but it gives you that connection that you sometimes miss in big universities

omg and my engineering professor 😭 i won't go one since this is already long enough but she's so sweet akbjdfnk since our class is smaller she's able to have more one on one interactions with you and honestly she's the sweetest person ever- like before exams she'll play a fun little engineering diy video so that we can relax and honestly even though this class is hell she makes it so much more better to in the the class i just- ugh some professors are literal gems and i'm glad i got all of them this semster ngl

HELP yeah whenever we pass the drop deadline for classes suddenly it feels oddly more cozy sdfjfdsj, but props to your prof! Not a lot of the professors I've had were that generous 😭

But yes! Talk to your professors (to anyone in college reading this). Contrary to popular belief, they're not evil (not all of them at least). They're there to help you out and 9/10 they're so pleasant to talk to if you make the effort! My biochem professor last year made it a point to get to know all 300 of her students and she got it! You can really tell the difference between professors who are truly passionate about their field!
