In general I think my thesis on other people's stories is 'if I can tell you hold me in contempt for being in your audience, then I will remove myself from your audience'.

#i don't know how the people who hold their audiences in obvious contempt keep GETTING such huge audiences #but maybe not everyone in the audience feels like they're being held in contempt? #this is also pretty much how I feel about the famous goth musicians who react with HORROR and DISGUST about being ASSOCIATED with GOTHS #like who paid for that designer outfit you're wearing and the fancy apartment you're holding this interview in? #but ok yeah sure you're better than me. because I'm foolish enough to like your art #it must be hard to live with that degree of self-loathing. get better soon
