why do so many people have this idea that hero was a timid little safety freak? sure, he wanted to make sure nobody got hurt and could sometimes be a bit more cautious, but he wasn’t like… a wimp

spoilers below the cut!

at the lake, when sunny nearly drowned, hero had been one of the people to urge him to jump in. if memory lane is 100% accurate, then hero and kel were the only ones to jump. hell, hero went first.

here, basil writes that hero had been tired out from swimming, meaning he had to be far enough out into the ocean that he couldn’t, or at least didn’t have to, touch the bottom. given that hero was the tallest of the group at the time, that’s gotta be pretty far out…

he doesn’t usually back down from a fight. if it’s neccesary, he’ll battle - hell, he’ll be the one to cause some of these fights. really the only reason i could think of that he’d back down is if a spider was involved, which is yk.. cuz he’s afraid of them 😭

im sure there’s more examples of this, these were just the ones i could think of off the top of my head!! if i got anything wrong or need to add anything feel free to correct me :3
