i rly do feel a lot of sympathy for dovewing like yes yes she has the classic "should have gotten better writing" most wc characters do so now that that disclaimer is out of the way i just feel like, this sympathy for her that only a few other cats Invoke in me......theres smthn abt her i just love so much. having this huge huge destiny put on her at a young age and knowing that lionblaze n jayfeather would rather have hollyleaf w them then her, trying to find her place in life while also not Understanding why her sister is so angry w her....

like 2 me dovewings whole character thru omen of the stars-vision of shadows is her trying to become what everyone else wants her to be. she has to be a prophecy cat, a warrior of thunderclan, ivypool's sister, bumblestripe or tigerhearts mate, one of the three, but never just Dovewing. she has this complete lack of sense of self in oots and i just felt for her so much, she tries to find herself in bramblestars storm cus she realizes that shes just sort of There in her relationship with bumblestripe and has no investment in it at all, gets backlash for making her choice, and then in vision of shadows she FINALLY gets herself. she goes to shadowclan bc she has a family now and at this point in her life, she finally realizes who she is happy w and where she'll be happy.......aaaaaand i just feel SO BAD FOR HER cus once again her family draws away from her for finding that. like she wants to be with her fmaily in shadowclan and she finally feels like shes found out who Dovewing is but she loses her family and birth clan in the process, and i just....man. this poor gal
