Yellow bomi! Can we get funny headcanons of Chrollo and fem! s/o unexpectedly genderbend?

Based on the amazing and beautiful drawings by Gyl (on Twitter when they had a few drawings of female Chrollo) and also by Tiuco @tiucoz (I’m obsessed with anything by them that has to do with HxH and also, please, the art style is so beautiful and their Chrollo is the sweetest little thing I’ve ever seen in my entire life 😭💕)

will be referring to Chrollo here with the he/him pronouns, just so I don’t confuse myself, but remember he’s supposed to be female here;

also, a few hints at the fact that the Reader is (or in this case was) female because...genderbend AU, I guess?

okay, first of all, let’s get this out of the way: Chrollo is hot

male or female, he looks hot

and also, he can look really cute...when he wants to be, at least

now imagine how it was that one time when he got someone’s Nen, just for fun and also because it might come in handy one day

aaaaand decided that you two should try it out because you loved knowing and even trying out (when possible and safe) the Nen powers he had in Skill Hunter

he explains what and how, the duration and asks if you still want to try it out with him

of course, you say yes and you're almost bouncing with excitement and curiosity

because why should he have all the fun?

Chrollo smiles before taking your hand in his, his other hand holding the Skill Hunter open at the page with the new and respective Nen

you two don't actually see it happen, like with other bodily transformations

somehow, it's almost as if there's this powerful light taking over you two and the room you're in before your ears hear everything as if you're underwater

it lasts for barely a few seconds before it's over, though it almost feels like it takes longer

you're still holding your boyfriend's hand, though your grip is tighter than before and so is his in response

when you finally open your eyes, they blink several times to get the blurry sight in front of you to unite into one

and that's when you see your boyfriend

or you should now say your girlfriend

in a way or another, there really aren't too many differences

but Chrollo's lips are a lot plumper and sensual; his body still lean, but with obvious muscles that actually make him look like a woman in her 20s, just like his actual male counterpart; a slightly smaller and more feminine face; longer eyelashes; daintier, but elegant hands; and, of course, boobs that are barely hidden by his signature coat

it's hard not to stare at how good he looks overall and you're suddenly aware that he's smiling, as if waiting for you to finish with your examination of him

"Like what you see, sunshine?"

even his voice is pretty 😭

you just nod, sort of dumbly and as if in a trance, before clearing your throat, surprised at the obviously deeper voice before you start noticing some of your own changes

suddenly, you're a lot more nervous

it's not as if you didn't think about how attractive Chrollo might look as a woman

but you barely thought about how you would look as a man

obvious to your slight discomfort and curiosity, Chrollo's smile softens as his grey eyes study you without a hint of anything but interest and pure adoration

"You know...you'd look pretty handsome as a man, (Y/N)."

"Really?"

"Really."

maybe Chrollo is a master manipulator and a liar, but he's telling the truth this time

and he thinks that even if these would be your actual, true forms, he'd still love you just the way you love him

"How about we go on a date? We haven't been on one for a while."

"Like this?"

you ask as you look down at yourself, finally noticing the comfy clothes that somehow changed to accommodate your new frame

Chrollo only nods, waiting for your response

"I might need some of your clothes... And you might need some of mine then."

he hums at the thought before you both go to rifle through each other's clothes in search of something appropriate

soon, you're both ready to face the world looking completely different

"Oh, come on! You even look better in my clothes than I do!"

your whining makes Chrollo chuckle as he looks at his reflection, admiring the way he looks dressed in one of his favourite outfits that you own before turning to you

"You look just as great, if not better, in my clothes, dove. Don't underestimate yourself."

this makes you quieten down and smile, feeling him pull you towards the mirror

adding to the fact that you're now taller than Chrollo, you come up behind him, hugging his shorter body and pressing your cheek to the top of his head as you look at your reflections

you can see why he likes hugging you like this - it makes you feel protective of him, despite your brain knowing just how strong and capable he is

he only smiles back, the tips of his ears slightly red as he holds onto your arms, feeling a bit shy at the obvious difference in height

you two soon leave, trying to think of your date as nothing more than the usual

now, since Chrollo became a woman, you insist on holding the door open or paying, just being the gentleman he usually is

this is a bit hard, since you're almost always on the receiving end of these little actions

but you try your best and can't help the satisfied smile on your face when you notice Chrollo's slightly embarrassed, but equally adorable smile

he feels weird being treated so nicely, especially when it's coupled with the constant thought that it's because he now looks like his female version

but he appreciates it nonetheless and tries really, really hard not to do those things for you since he's the one used to doing them

though he does it once or twice, just to play around a little, see you smile and hear you playfully chastise him

all in all, it's a fun date, slightly different from the others

the most fun part is how jealous some people look when they see you two together

well, that and the moment Shalnark, Feitan and Phinks catch sight of you two from across the street

Feitan only raises an eyebrow as his lower face remains hidden by his collar, Phinks drops his drink as he only remains with the straw in his mouth and has his eyes wide open in shock, while Shalnark has a barely hidden smirk on his lips

that's the moment you see Chrollo blanch and feel his hand grip yours harder

...this is going to take some explaining
