I have a lot of questions I will respond to with drawings, and ones that require more in depth responses, but here are a bunch of questions with quick answers about Halloween Town's finest trick-or-treaters!

Unlike ghouls or witches that convene in packs or covens, imps are strictly solitary creatures that live as cryptids in the human world. They're elusive stealth hunters and like their privacy.

Halloween Town does have antique stores! Often it's really neat stuff like old fashioned potion bottles and such, but sometimes they have a mysterious "from the human world" section and Shock's like dude this is a fidget spinner

The town residents of that whichever holiday is coming up LOVE when humans put out decorations in stores (or if them up afterwards)! Each town is extremely proud of their holiday, so they love when humans are just as excited as they are!

One time I got the question about whether the trio were theater kids and I said "no, they don't have the patience to memorize a script" and someone in the tags said "ah, improv kids then" and I JUST—

It was during a moment similar to this, where Barrel was assuring her that she was doing just fine as a witch and Shock felt like they reached a spot where she could tell him. "It's the name my mothers gave me" quickly followed by, "Don't tell Lock."

He'd probably say something like "Knock it off already. Here, take this," and then give him his BEST lollipop or some really good candy. Lock had a lot going on as a kid and his words were mean but his actions showed his heart.

For this AU I will focus on Calliope's future, but I do have a drawing of her with the family dog!

Since the Oogie fiasco, they're kinda over the concept of monsters that cook & eat human children

Barrel knows his guilt won't help any of them to move forward and so he invests the compassion he was shown back into his friends. He can't change the past but he does put in the effort to make their futures better—cutting them a lot of slack when they react poorly or irrationally to certain situations, encouragement, support, comfort, and a lot of patience.

It was the first time they felt like they'd found something that was just for them—not under Oogie or Jack's thumb for once, it was a night where they could just be free. None of them will every forget it!

Lock really likes that pocket critter. Barrel treasures the glow-in-the-dark lighter that Belladonna gave him. Shock likes whatever herbs grow there that she needs for potion-making.

I think their parents would be just be happy that their children are alive, well, and have people they can call friends 🩷

Sally is a smart cookie and she can tell where Shock's heart is. Whenever Shock battles the urge to tell Sally everything but refrains in fear of looking uncool, Sally usually beats her to it with an offering of information phrased as a casual inquiry, "Do any of your potions require peony? The banshee was in here the other day for a fitting and mentioned how they were her favorite flowers, perhaps she knows where they grow, if you need them."

Shock, almost smiling: get out

She can! Her voice is soft and beautiful. Although a banshee song typically does not have the same glass-shattering effects of a banshee scream, Calliope is still nervous about hitting any high notes for that reason.

The reason the town has never seen an imp is because they are solitary stealth hunters in deep forests, hiding themselves from both humans and monsters alike. Lock was only found because his parents were focused on protecting him and hunted in this vulnerable state. It was an alarm to the town when he was brought in during the height of monster hunting because “...if even an imp can be found now, none of us are safe”.

I always strive to design characters with a memorable silhouette. I knew I wanted her to be a creature that could fly (so she could accompany Shock on flights) and I saw a unique opportunity to have a dynamic silhouette via the floatiness of her hair.

She does love dancing! I'm sure she's given ballet a try at least once!

Nightmare Before Christmas merch doesn't exist in this AU. It is set in the world of the movie, just a bit in the future!

THE SAGA

Floating is like walking for her, she has conscious control over it. For sleeping, she lies down.

Thank you so much! I put a lot of love into designing all of their wardrobes with care and originality (except, like, the ghoul pun graphic Ts, I wasn't clever enough to come up with puns 😆). For Shock, I imagined themes like modern-vintage, witchy, pastel goth!

I imagine banshees are born of flora under certain conditions, and their mission is to go out and choose a human family, to watch over and bond to.

I think the most cursed set I've ever seen is the bean bag plush set. It's where that scary Barrel plush came from! They all look off-model despite sporting the Disney tag, but Barrel and SALLY look especially 😬 !! (and Oogie looks uwu)
