that example was one of the more intense ones, but so many adults will be scared of actual literal children for the dumbest shit. kids will be bad at eye contact (avoidant of it or does it "too much") and adults will label them as evil liars or haunting serial killers to be or they'll have a lot of energy and talk a lot and struggle to transition between activities and real life adults will call or even think of them as cruel and selfish or abusive and like. generally ppl place way too much value on childrens actions as "signs" of how they're going to become horrible people as adults and its like. obviously don't let kids do anything but if you're approaching their punishments with a defeatist they're-going-to-grow-up-and-be-evil mindset then like. ur probably not gonna give them the tools and support they need to find alternative avenues and expressions of their (very real and valid) emotions. And that's your fault. 😐
