bc of the games timeline/presented story not super making sense and my fun little anti-isolde conspiracies and dreamer!surana’s intermittent connection to bby alistair i have a multitude of options for interpreting exactly why eamon was poisoned but i think my favorite is to combine them bc you get, like

jowan: wow ive been out of the tower two weeks tops and multiple people have asked me to kill this guy, he really must he as bad a surana used to rant about. 

jowan: ... 

jowan: well, i dont think im much of a killer, but all that they tell me to do is go kill eamon, so what choice do i have but to listen? 

#the pause is him taking a moment to consider the sort of Behaviors surana would exhibit on his next manic swing if he found out that his #bestest little scrunkly ended up in redcliffe and *didnt* do his part to help nder #undermine the wicked stepparents of the saddest boy in the world #the warden: why did you poison the arl? #jowan: easy for you to say youve never been woken up in the middle of the night by surana pacing furiously at the foot of your bed and #when he notices youre awake he starts ranting furiously about these people (the arl and arlessa) and how he wantswantsneeds so badly to #go kill them and hurt them with knives and cut them and beat them with hammers etc etc like. that happened to me at Least half a dozen times #what else was i supposed to do? a little poison isnt as bad as all that is it? #this is how alistair finds out his imaginary friend is real btw
