The way Seward describes collecting a sample of Lucy’s blood after she accidentally cuts her hand makes it really hard to tell whether he told her that was what he was doing or whether he did it, like, furtively while appearing to give first aid. It also seems strange that he would need to be so opportunistic about taking a blood sample, that he didn’t expect to get one except for the chance occurrence of her getting an accidental wound; would the equipment to do that in a normal, medical way be too difficult to carry in his pockets?
I mean, we know he’s always got a lancet.
Also, “he sucked the gangrene from my wound” is absolutely The Worst “how we became friends” story I can conceive of right now. I bet you did, you little freak.
