#fangan posting #art #soldiers fangan #valerian #the scars are weird bc theyre caused by specific conditions in the regional climates in my fangan! #the scars on their left arm and face are caused by the boiling rain (called blisters. when it's raining hot they call it blistering) #when blister scars heal they look like very fine burn scars contained to only streaks across the surface #a lot of the soldiers in my fangan have blister scars because its hard to get through the region without getting caught in a blister storm #and the scars on their right arm are caused by a specific plant in the cityscape. i think the plant's like that magnet powder? #and when you brush up against it parts of it break off into your skin. kinda like a nettle getting attached to you #when the plant gets in your skin it causes a massive reaction like that even if its just a tiny sliver. the more that you brush up against #the bigger the reaction #when you get injured by it your skin first welts up like a rash #then lacerations open up across the affected area #when it heals it looks very similar to a burn scar along with residual rash. and the lacerations always heal blue like that
