It’s fun writing a character who has some major insomnia. First of all, relatable. Second: it’s fucking hilarious that each scene is like a d20 roll to see how much sleep he got the night before and it’s almost always a 1 or on the rare chance, a 20. There’s no in between. He’s either tired as shit and grumpy, or the most energetic character in the scene bc he has such a reliance on caffeine and it only works if he got a 20 that morning.

#taks speaks #literally tho. hilarious #the last thing i wrote on him #he gaslighted somebody into thinking a pigeon was a rare dove bc he was trying not to get into trouble #he named the pigeon jaques and took like eight pictures of him just to pad the excuse of trespassing by being a birdwatcher #when he knows jackshit about birds #this was a nat 20 day #this is the only comedic ease of tension i get during the story without having his even more chaotic bf around #if they were together in this section: oh my god. #fun thing that happened earlier on in the timeline: he once picked up a stray cat off the side of the road #and he took it home. taming it from being feral and very mean. to forcing it on his bf who is very much allergic while he went away #and his bf picks up retired guard dogs so it's fair on both ends #in all there's this one semi-feral cat and two well-trained dogs #and a strong trans man who is physically able to carry the 90lbs doberman like a baby #which visually would've been hilarious bc he's like 5'3 #and the dog is the same height when on his hind legs #god i wish i could draw people these ones would make very nice little comics to fill in all the little extra things that don't fit in #i need little side character growth that doesn't have to do with the emotional damage i'm inflicting on all of them
