Sanative - why I’m only now finding out about this is beyond me🥴

"Right, it says that in this missing person's report. Well, let me just make it clear that she has been missing for three months already. We have no leads and we don't know if we'll ever find her."

Harsh much😬 aren’t they supposed to be the ones being positive and reassuring and stuff😐 telling you that they won’t give up and even though they may think it I was not expecting him to just be blunt and say “we don't know if we'll ever find her." 😭😳 what kind of detective does that🤨🧐

"I'm just giving you the statistics, Mr. Jeon. No need to act violent." Kim warns, narrowing his eyes up at the broken younger man.”

He just told this man they may never find his PREGNANT wife😕 what was he expecting😑 thank you and a hug🙄🤦🏽‍♀️

"Are you threatening a police officer, Jeon Jeongguk?" the detective quips, standing up on his own volition.”

As expected of a police officer🤦🏽‍♀️ always missing the point and only seeing or hearing what they want🙄😑 Detective Kim for the win everyone😒😒👏🏽👏🏽

“He explicitly made it colder so guests wouldn't stay as long. There is a rule, y'know. Guests are like fish -- they stay for three days and then anything after that, they start to stink.”

Even though at this point of the fic I have tears running down my face🤧🤧 this part made me laugh so hard because it is so true😂😂😂😂

“The silence in his room begins to echo like white noise and he can only whine softly.”

This part is so relatable because silence can be so loud at the most inconvenient times😩😩😒 my ears sometimes feel like they’re ringing🥴

“When he hears your small footsteps, he closes his eyes. He pulls a soft throw pillow to his chest and hugs it as tightly as possible.”

Annnddddd back to crying😭😭😭😭🤧

“But one of them, Taehyung, noticed after a few months. I can remember them fighting about it or yelling about it for a while."

This fic was so beautiful😩😩😩 taking us through the healing journey had me emotionally involved and connected and I loved it❤️🤧 even though detective Kim was a pain🙄 kidnapper Kim wasn’t any better😔😔 but doctor Kim made up for it🥺 and ofc there was jimin😂😂😂😂 but really this was awesome……I needed a good cry❤️

There’s nothing like someone being served a big old helping of their just dessert 💩

I had a boss who was a smart guy – legit, engineering smart.

He could look at a mechanical part and figure out how to make it.

He had a gift.

But pride began to creep in.

He was gifted in the area of mechanical design, but he began feeling that he was smarter than everyone else around him in EVERY area. 🤨

It began slowly at first, but because he was the boss it went largely unchallenged.

It wasn’t long before he thought he was a biz-dev expert as well and would ignore any advice when it came to running his business.

He gave himself the title of CEO and sat on his self-erected throne in a zombified state as he played with his cell phone – ignoring the warning signs around him 🧟

Doing any form of work or engaging in his business was now beneath him.

Being a project manager at the time, I saw the warning signs and how they negatively affected the biz.

So I brought some of the issues to his attention.

I wanted to try to help correct things before the biz ran off the cliff it was headed for.

The result?

I was greeted with a blank stare of indifference and stone-cold silence. 😑

He disdainfully said to me, “I’ve learned that if I just ignore it, it goes away.”

Sales were drying up, employees weren’t happy and the shop was riddled with inefficiencies.

Spin the clock ahead a little and he was on the verge of bankruptcy.💸

One of his most common moves was to lie about when he could deliver projects, causing hold ups on multi-million dollar projects.

When customers complained, he ignored them as he laughed behind their backs saying that their “due dates aren’t important.”

He would say that because the customer had already given him a purchase order they had no leverage and that they would have to just “chill out and take a number.”

It took less than a year and he had run his business into the ground.

Cash flow had dried up, he had ruined his reputation and his good employees left.

The business sunk further and further into the red.

But in the end, he was right.

He said that if he ignored it all, and it would all go away.

And it sure did.

He ignored his business, and it went away.💸

The key take away from all this?

Stick to what you’re good at and delegate the rest.

Don’t assume that just because you’re gifted in one area that you will succeed in things outside your wheelhouse. (Especially if you don’t work at them.)
