Everything gets more powerful when people believe in it.” Maybe it’s not REAL POWER, only perceived one, but even imagined power can have a strong effect on people. It inspires emotions like admiration or fear, both powerful motivators for otherwise unthinkable actions. Wen Ning knows that he shouldn’t believe everything he hears or reads about, but it’s difficult sometimes not to fall into the trap of doing just that.

Every myth and rumor sparked from a small grain of TRUTH, didn’t it? Who is he to doubt the tales of old, the beliefs of his ancestors and the people of their time? How far does he have to go back with this line of inquiry, and who can give him the answers?      “Why do people choose to believe things so easily without asking for proof?”
