Wildbow is so funny he's like "And here I will describe a character who is NOT Attractive. I don't want any of my readers to be attracted to him. Uhh he's got a hook nose and tan skin. He has long hair and dresses like a stage magician. He's constantly wisecracking. He's a smoker and is devoted to his shy monster GF above anything in the world and would kill or die for her"
like ok man

worm making superheroes get into controversy for being recorded shouting slurs in costume is so real. that would so happen if superheroes were real

i love taylor bc shes like 14 and shes alrwady wanted for felony and a major superhero has personally told her that she sucks and will not be able to redeem herself even if she betrays the undersiders and yet she keeps deluding herself into thinking everything will be fine if she betrays the undersiders

worm 3.4
This is an amazing bit of connection between Taylor and her father. The tension is palpable, but because of a combination of things like her guilt for lying, her small escapism from school, and her father's respect, she opens up just a little bit. I really hope, if things go south, that she can rely on him for emotional support. I'd hate if being an Undersider makes her even more isolated from the one family member she has.....

you know one of the main thematic things in worm is how a lot of the villains are just victims of circumstance and a lot of the heroes are essentially power-tripping cops, and how that maps out to how criminals are in the real world right?
my lord is that john "wildbow" mccrae having taylor mention vagrants in the same breath as gang members and criminals?

truly truly love that there exists in worm a way to communicate with alternate universes and im 400k words in and it has only been brought up once. in the context of watching star wars from other earths.

see! i told you guys it would be fine! they're gonna be the best of friends now
ok but actually, taylor really is kind of obsessed with being rachel's friend. she takes any chance to get closer to the one teammate that tried to at the very least beat the shit out of her multiple times. what's wrong with her

i love being inside her head whenever she does shit like this. she has no idea what she's doing but she's going all in anyway. i hope we get a scene where she bothers coil for goons only to have them watch as she practices her cool parlor tricks in preparation for her next public appearance
