She's fussing. There's no other word for it. Had panicked when their eyes rolled back, but now that Sami's awake again was flitting about with blankets and glasses of water and being a general nuisance.

Sami's nonchalant attitude towards the whole situation was not helping her worry.

"Are you sure? I can - well I don't know what I can do but surely there's something."

They might have been silent, but the room wasn't. Soft music crooned from the record player in the corner, the pair of them curled up under blankets with books in hand. Bella had made tea, before, but she'd also been drawn into a particularly thrilling section of her novel and so it sat, half drunk and cold, on the table in front of her.

She reaches the end of her chapter and slides a finger between pages to make her place as she stretches.

"Oh-" The cold tea has been spotted. "I'm going to make a fresh cup, would you like one?"

"I'm sorry, this isn't really my strong suit." It's a weak apology, especially given that Bella's aim is made all the worse every time she doubles over in giggles when she tosses an m&m that misses Sami's mouth.

Taking a deep (still giggly) breath to calm herself, Bella sits up a little straighter. "Okay, let me go again. I've got it this time, I know it."

She is, just quietly, very excited. Sami is, by now, well over the cold from Christmastime, so another try at a day out was a welcome idea. They're walking around hand-in-hand when Bella spots the carnival games and decides she has to have the ridiculous-looking stuffed hippopotamus.

"Can we play this one?" Is what she asks, but the question is more are you up to it?
