#y’all what other American medical services office can you get an appointment in under a week???

I just had a patient hang up on me mid sentence because she didn’t like my answer. She needs contacts by a certain day and asked if they could be shipped directly to her. I said that it’s faster to have them shipped to our office bc then it’ll be delivered by courier, whereas directly to her goes through UPS and adds several business days. And she hung up as I’m trying to explain that second part to her.

I wish to god I was allowed to call her back and tell her that since she’s been so incredibly rude and condescending all day that I’ve deleted her appointment and she can go somewhere else. There should be consequences to being a bitch, especially at a medical office.

#hee fucking rx is expired. by 4 fucking years. and she never completed a contact lens fitting with us anyway. #the first time I was on the phone w her I had explained to her the process she’d need to do several times and she just kept bitching #and eventually asked ‘well what do you want me to do?’ I *WANT* YOU GO SOMEWHERE ELSE but I’ve REPEATEDLY told you what you NEED to do!! #fucking baby karen she’s so rude and entitled like ??? your eyeballs are a medical prescription like any other prescription #and like any other prescription it expires. especially after FOUR YEARS #it’s not my fucking fault you waited until the last second to contact us. your poor time management is not our problem #and also? it’s Tuesday? our next appointment is Monday?
