i think a part of the reason my almonds got so activated the other day with the bsdogs thing is because it’s soooo common in manga adaptations for people to complain about that kind of thing, and 90% of those people I feel like don’t understand how anime production works. and like...it’s not like I understand a lot of it either, and it’s also not as though it’s a prerequisite to watch anime or anything like that, but some people just have these wild takes. sooo many manga fans get so pissed when the adaptation isn’t a 1-to-1 with the manga, and it’s just like. it’s like the “movies vs books” debate. sometimes they really do fuck up your beloved manga. sometimes the adaptation really is bad. but sometimes they didn’t draw a panel exactly how it was in the manga, and that...idk, it’s so minor. and it happens all the time (mha fandom is notorious about this). adaptations aren’t meant to be 1-to-1 with the manga. if that were the case, why even watch the anime?
idk. if you take bsdogs outside of its adaptation of the manga, and look at it on its own, as a piece of animation there are some super cool stuff going on, from a production standpoint. cool fight scenes, direction, character design, etc etc.
idk where i was going with this. feel free to comment your favorite adaptation of a manga ahaha
