I'm just counting down the days until the next episode cause I want my yannhime crumbs

This is LITERALLY one of the few times I've gotten heavily into a show and actually wanted a ship to be real

Besides that, I feel like there is a plan going on by Hymeno and everyone gets the hint at some point except Gira

Or . . . Yanma is too focused on the whole competition to notice and Gira is too concerned about the sudden marriage candidates thing

It was Erica’s Birthday 🥳🌼💛

While she looks ethereal as usual, I did not expect to see blonde Aoto this fine morning. Curious if it’s super temp or if he’ll have to wear a wig from now on. In an interview, I recall only him, Taisei, and Masashi not having to wear wigs, (not sure if Yuzuki wears one, my guess was extensions but she might be wearing a wig- especially since she got a hair cut recently and 😮‍💨 she’s so fine 💜).

But if his character just becomes blonde, it’ll be the end of me that’s fs 💀

They’re all kinds of adorable.

The more I learn about Aoto (Yanma) through interviews (AND NOW ERICA’S < Hymeno’s > TWEET) on how important expressing his care and appreciation for the cast and crew is to him but he’s so humble about it- the higher my expectations are for a man- my god 😭💙

Saw a few people doing KingOhger kids! OCs and I thought they were so cuuuute-

Unless I get bombarded with assignments, I might be able to pitch in my OCs as well, (had them for a while).

I’ve thought of OCs if Yanma & Hymeno had kids, or if Rita and Hymeno had kids:

I'll think of their apperances and personalities later on when I actually draw them- I have a few ideas lol, especially for Yannhime's kids 💙💛

Also ik I've used the names of moths for RitaHime's kids, but just so you know, moths in french are "Papillon de nuit", which means "night butterflies". Butterflies and moths are under a huuuge group known as Lepidoptera, which consists of 165,000 species with only 18,000 of them being butterflies.

I'm currently studying zoology in university, and trust me, moths offer a much greater variety and appearances- truly beautiful insects so I thought it would be fitting.

Definitely another little drawing project to add to the long list of drafts. I don’t think I’ve drawn anything for KingOhger yet either.

I’ll definitely want to think of the other Royal’s kids as well- this is so cute and fun.

(Jeramie is definitely having a girl 🥺)

post ep 36 Kingohger drabble

Haven't done this in a while!

Walking on the last leg of their journey to Toufu, Yanma made sure that Hymeno and Rita were walking ahead of them before he clapped Jeramie on the shoulder - hard - and then told Gira, "Guess now we all know just why I kinda sucked at the whole marriage interview shit, huh?"

At both Gira and Jeramie's befuddled looks, Yanma rolled his eyes and said, "I must have known on some level that that wasn't the real Hymeno. Because, for sure, if the real Hymeno actually wanted a husband and she picked me to be a candidate, I would've laughed so hard in her face that people would hear me all the way from N'Kosopa."

Pause.

"Doubtful," Jeramie replied with a grin. "Humans can so easily lie through their mouths, after all. But, if that's how you want your story to go--"

"Yeah, you were really into the whole competition bit, Yanma," Gira added. "So I guess that means you really were, you know, wanting to--"

"I really wasn't," Yanma hissed through gritted teeth, with a bonus glare thrown Gira's way. "Because if I was, I would've won over you all so easily. Even the almighty judge and that frail-not-frail not-old-man guy would've lost so hard, they're gonna cry."

"Oh, so your atrocious performance wasn't because of stage fright?" Jeramie asked with a sly smile.

Yanma turned to him and repeated, "Stage--"

"From my vast experience," Jeramie said, "it's a common thing I've seen in all sorts of creatures, unfortunately. Those who perform often get cold feet."

Yanma sneered. "Are you sure it wasn't because they just sucked?"

"Not always," Jeramie replied with an indulgent smile at Yanma. "They get frightened at the prospect of disappointing their audience. Making them realize that the performer isn't at all good enough. They carry the burden of caring too much about what the other would think of them. And sometimes, that fear translates into the performance."

Pause.

"So what's your point?" Yanma asked, scratching his ear.

Slowly, Jeramie shook his head with a sigh.

"So--" Gira said, his brows drawn together as he thought hard, "so you're saying that the reason Yanma sucked--"

"Hey!"

"Is because... he cared too much about what Hymeno would think of him?"

And Jeramie fairly beamed at Gira.

"Bullshit!" Yanma snarled. "Why the fuck would I care about what that selfish queen would think of me? Like I didn't know already. She--"

"She, what?"

And the three of the stared at Hymeno, who was somehow standing right in front of them now.

She cocked her head to the side, just looking at Yanma - though one could easily say she was daring him to continue that sentence of his.

Yanma blinked repeatedly, his mouth opening and closing - without any sound coming out.

And then, all of a sudden and without warning--

--the man blushed.

Realizing this, he cursed under his breath before all but stomping away from her.

Hymeno watched it all unfold with a fairly bemused look on her face. "Well!" she said. "Suffice to say, now I'm half-tempted to actually hold a marriage interview myself, just to see how you all would fare."

She glanced at Yanma's figure ahead of them, adding, "Especially that... creature. I have no doubt it would be entertaining."

Gira and Jeramie exchanged looks.

"But... you wouldn't, would you?" Gira asked cautiously. "Considering our situation right now? You know it isn't the right time for that, don't you?"

Hymeno just smiled at him brilliantly.
