to me c!eret being the time traveler XD spoke of just makes the most sense. it explains their backstory with foolish, having been present for events seemingly hundreds of years past. it also explains her amnesia to their history—iirc, XD said that he’d thrown the original time traveler aside and made them forget their abilities. most likely, eret’s time-traveling coincided often with foolish’s life, but when XD took away their powers, it also erased every memory they’d made of foolish, as those were only made during their time-hopping.

c!connor is unmistakably a time traveler, but he doesn’t line up with XD’s words. he seems to be fully aware of time anomalies and karl, which could mean XD failed in his attempts to erase the traveler’s memory, but most likely means that connor is not the traveler XD spoke of. he’s a time traveler, sure, but his powers are not tied to XD’s.
