yeah...I'm gonna say it. I'm tired of the "she's soft" trope being given exclusively to white females.

#strong woman #you need to let woc feel soft and vulnerable #they do not need to be strong 100% of the time #this is such a harmful belief and I'm living the nightmare that it's created #woc break themselves in an effort to fit the stereotype and it's bullshit #we deserve to be soft #we deserve to be vulnerable #in fiction we deserve to be the shy girls the timid girls the damsel in distress or the soft yet vibrant girl next door #stop reducing woc to strong warriors or queens #you're teaching young girls of color to harden their hearts #which no one should ever have to do #and i say no one because I'm including men in this #because they NEED to be fucking soft #whether they want to or not #learn some vulnerability bitch it's good for you
