I have this weird collection of barnes and noble hardback books that i think were supposed to be their version of clothbound classics (let's put classic lit in a fancy cover and jack up the prices) but the actual quality is so yucky....for a while when i was a teenager they'd end up in local bargain shops for like £5 each and they were so fascinating i had to get them every time

#um.txt #i cant even read them bc the page edges are painted with this horrible metallic gold paint #that gets everywhere and i was scared of it being toxic bc i can practically taste it as u read #i think they still sell them some places idk.. #also i hate clothbounds for a lot of reasons but i still have more than a few.....im an english lit student what else #can my extended fam get me for xmas #yuckiest classic lit copies are wordsworth but i respect them bc theyre always cheap af theyre not trying to be cute
