Yuugi has always been interested in ancient civilization even before he met the Pharaoh and found the puzzle, he finds history fascinating. Finding the Pharaoh only strengthens this desire for knowledge.
Seto Kaiba has always been one to desire technological advances for humanity above all else. So his favoured subjects include math and science. Even now as he doesn’t attend a university nor does he go to school at all anymore, by all rights he’s a drop-out... But even now he pursues his interests in his own line of study.

you're an angry ghost. the people in your home don't belong here, and you're not afraid to show it. so you'll drive them out, just like the people before and before and before. you can't── or won't── move on to the afterlife until you get revenge. someone hurt you or someone you love deeply. everyone tells you to let it go, but you can't. what happened isn't right. someone has to make it right. you're fiercely loyal and your anger stems from caring, but that doesn't make you any less vengeful. you hate as deeply as you love. i hope you learn to keep living, in spite of the terrible things that have happened and are still happening. i hope you find peace.
