Introducing Marina Chechneva. She had bit of everything, skill to finish missions, ability to fly as well as the ability to lead and train new recruits.

She took part in 810 missions, accumulating over 1000 hours of flying as well as dropping almost 150 tons of bomb to enemy territory.

Introducing Olga Sanfirova: Integral pilot and teacher to the regiment. She took part in 630 missions in the war, accumulating 875 hours of flight hours in combat and dropping 77 tons of bombs on enemy territory.   

She made the ultimate sacrifice to her country in december 1944.

She was the biggest individual piece of the successful 588th Night Bomber Regiment’s puzzle. 

She was even banned to fly on the missions because she was deemed too important within the unit. She still flew in 40 missions during her time.
