Until her feelings continuously grew and grew. She couldn't stand it.

Why did you make her feel like this ? You were so kind to her , but so was the rest of the crew. Why were you different ?

To her , you were special. She'd find herself looking at things in stores that she thinks you'd like.

One day , she brought one of those things to the Sunny after a big battle.

She was worried about losing you , but she knew you could handle yourself. But you got injured. Very , very injured. She was extremely worried because you've been out for days.

She came to your bedside and placed a jewel on the bedside. She sat on the bed next to your sleeping form and started talking to you as if you could hear.

Little did she know , her presence awoke you.

She told you how she felt and called you stupid for getting so hurt. While she was crying , you placed your bruised hand on her arm and told her you felt the same.

She was so surprised that she slapped you and started shaking you violently for worrying her.

Surgeon of Death: Trafalgar D. Water Law

At first , he thought something was wrong with him. He stayed up for nights on end trying tor research what could be wrong with him.

He looked up his symptoms in any book he could find. He knew a lot of illnesses because he was a doctor , but this was foreign to him. It worried him. Was it something like White Lead ?

He continues searching. Heated body (similar to a fever) , heart skipping beats irregularly , clammy hands , etc.

The only conclusion he could draw was the love sickness that any former Empress from Amazon Lily had.

But he wasn't an empress. Then , it clicked. He was in love. He wasn't sick , he was just LOVE sick. For you , no less.

He talked to Ikaku about how he felt and she squealed happily at his confession.

She bombarded him with advice , flowers , snacks , etc. She told him to just tell you.

When he gathered the courage , he did just that. He brought those flowers to your desk and waited for you. When you came in , the anxiety set in.

He cleared his throat and nervously confessed his feelings for you.

You laughed and told him you felt the same. He felt like a weight was lifted from his chest.

Eustass "Captain" Kid

Similarly to Law , he thought he was sick. He stayed in his office for DAYS , mostly to avoid you.

He thought you were sick too. How else did he feel sick around you ? You were contagious.

He told Killer about his sickness and he laughed his ass off at him.

Kid yelled at him and told him to stop , but he didn't.

When Killer calmed himself , he told Kid that he was a dumbass. That he wasn't sick , but in love.

Why would he be in LOVE ? THE Captain Kid !

He denied it and shooed Killer out.

But Killer pushed him to tell you. Every. Day.

Eventually , he caved.

When you brought him dinner , his mouth spewed out all he felt. He turned extremely red and angirly grumbled.

That was until you kissed his chin and told him you felt the same.

He turned even redder and shooed you out of his office.

Caesar Clown

He didn't actually understand why he fell in love with you. Was it your power ? Your looks ? Your influence ? He wasn't sure.

Everyone noticed. He would literally stumble around and make mistakes whenever you come around.

Monet teased him about it often. He shut down everything she said and would yell at her for even suggesting that he liked you.

He's had hookups and such before , but he's never fallen in love with any of his flings. He was a master scientist , why would he need love ?

But he fell for you.

Hard , actually.

He tried his best to avoid you but it never worked. You were stronger than him , so you had to protect him. That was your job.

While working in another part of his lab , Monet just straight up told you that he's in love with you.

You laughed and told her that you knew. You followed her to his current location , and you both told him what you conversed about.

He was embarrassed as hell and yelled at both of you.

He shooed Monet out and talked to you in private.

He , nervously , told you that it was true.

It was SO obvious to the entire crew.

He would become nervous and a blushing mess around you.

Even Whitebeard noticed.

Ace didn't , however.

He was never actually in love. He has had hookups , yes , but never a significant other. He didnt feel as if he deserved love.

But you made him feel like he did.

You were so sweet to him and would love him like he was your lover.

Marco , Thatch , and Izo would tease him about his little crush on you. Anytime they did , he denied it.

But Izo told you one day while you two were hanging out.

You told him that you felt the same way.

Izo and Thatch pushed you two together and got you both to confess in the kitchen

When you both confirmed that you were dating , the entire crew threw a party.

They just wanted an excuse to party. Sigh.

Koala noticed before he did , but he noticed a bit after.

He chose not to act on it , however. He was too busy with the Revolutionary Army for a relationship.

But Koala was OBSESSED with the idea of you and him dating. She would continuously tell anyone who would listen about how much she shipped you and him.

She even told Dragon.

Dragon supports.

One day , Koala sets you two up in the kitchen of the current Revolutionary base.

She locks you both in there and leaves , waiting for you both to confess.

You confessed first because he wouldn't budge.

He told you he felt the same.

Hours after being locked in there , you both had fallen asleep together in the corner when Koala came to get you both.

She took pictures and showed them to Dragon.

When you joined the Donquixote Family , he knew he had to get you out of there. Just like the children.

He normally wouldn't care about the others in the family because it wasn't his mission. However , your heart wasn't in the same place as theirs.

It intrigued him.

You were kind , smart , caring , and you took care of Baby 5 , Buffalo , and Law as if they were your own.

He brought this up to Robin and asked for some advice. When she told gim that he was , indeed , in love with you , he didn't know how to continue.

Did he want a relationship ? Did he want to risk your life ? Did you even want to be in a relationship with you ?

He ended up accidently avoiding you while pondering his decision. He didn't realize how much it hurt you until you confronted him.

He finally nonchalantly asked you to be his significant other while eating , shocking the entire crew (and you).

While everyone stopped eating , screamed in shock , or stared at you (or him) , you just stared.

Eventually , you smiled and accepted his confession.

Pirate Hunter: Roronoa Zoro

Like his captain , he didn't understand that he was in love with you. He didn't understand why he wanted to share sake with you , workout with you , and sit next to you everytime you guys ate. He didn't understand why his heart fluttered when he was around you.

He assumed it was because he found you to be better company than the rest of the crew.

But he got worried once his heart started skipping beats and he'd get red around you. He brought his concern up to Chopper , who laughed and explained that he was in love with you.

He was shocked. He didn't even think he could love , honestly.

He started avoiding you in hopes that his feelings would drift away.

But they didn't.

In fact , he became more infatuated and it infuriated him.

He finally confronted you about it when you came to visit him while he was working out. He told you everything he had been feeling , angrily at that , and felt flustered afterwards. He didn't mean to share all of that.

You laughed and told you felt the same way. That was the day you two agreed to be in a relationship.

God: Usopp

Absolute train wreck. He realized he caught feelings for you pretty quick. He's conflicted because of his past relationship with Kaya.

He thinks you won't like a coward like him , so he tries to wait it out.

He tells Nami about it and asks her for some advice. (He pays her to keep it a secret).

She gives him advice. She tells him to try for you , that you don't see him as a coward. You'd love him either way. He didn't believe her , obviously. Why would someone as strong and as stunning as you go for a wimp like him ?

But , he remembered. He's gonna be a brave warrior of the sea one day , like the Giants. Confessing his love to you , in his eyes , got him a step closer to being braver.

Eventually , he picks some flowers from the garden to make a bouquet. He hands it to you while sputtering about how he loves you and wants you to be his significant other (his face is COMPLETELY) red.

When you say yes , his face lights up. He didn't realize how much anxiety this had given him until you relieved him.

He immediately squeezed you and laughed.

Blackleg: Vinsmoke Sanji

He didn't understand why he wanted to make you smile more than Robin or Nami. Male , female , nonbinary , whatever. He found himself drifting over to you no matter the circumstance.

He'd always find a way to have you in the kitchen with him , or just around him. He'd always volunteer to go with you on islands , take you shopping , etc.

Nami and Robin noticed how he paid more attention to you compared to them.

They decided to play wingwomen.

They started "accidently" leaving you two alone together. They would also talk to each of you about the other to see how you two felt about one another.

Then they would go to each other and tell the other what they found out.

Eventually , they took everyone's dinner out of the kitchen and left your plate and Sanji's plate.

Sanji sat there with you , flustered and quiet. Eventually , he blurted out that he loved you and wanted to be with you. Once he realized what he said , he was embarrassed.

But to his surprise , you told him you felt the same !

Devil's Child: Nico Robin

She realized immediately and wasn't shy about expressing how she felt about you.

She watched you from afar , observing stuff that you enjoy to do and stuff you like.

When she figured that she gathered enough knowledge , she put her plan to work.

She asked Sanji to set up your dinner and her dinner in a seperate room with a candle and a rose.

He complied without question.

She led you into the room and ate dinner with you.

When the 'date' was ended , she confessed her love for you bluntly.

It made you red , but you told her you felt the same (to her amusement).

He also immediately realized he was in love with you. Instead of telling you , he began showing acts of "kindness".

He would give you little trinkets , always show you his inventions first , make you new weapons , and so much more.

Robin noticed. She brought it up to him and turned him SUPERRR red.

Like Robin , he realized immediately and wasn't shy at all. In fact , you didn't even realize.

He still showed it to you. He thought you wouldn't notice it was about you , but you did.

You asked him , and he stared at you in shock. Ashamed , he confessed that it was about you.

She's had this day planned out for a while , actually. She made the crew dock at an island and reserved a table at the fanciest restaurant she could find there.

Then , she would book (or bribe someone to book) a private room for you two. She would get you a rose (that she grew) before you even arrived.

She's over here wearing a beautiful dress , hair done and everything. She even bought you a beautiful suit / dress / fit to match with hers !

After the date , she takes you to a hotel and spends the entire night with you. You guys even go out on a shopping spree ! New clothes , jewlery , weapons , whatever you guys wanted ! All discounted , of course.

You guys end the night with a cuddle session in your room ! (Or a fun night. It depends)

She's VERY romantic with you.

She's gotta have SOMETHING on you the entire day. Rather it be holding hands , kissing your cheek , hugging your waist , or rubbing your shoulders. She just loves making you flustered !

She takes this entire day spoiling you. She uses her devil fruit to massage you and make you relax.

You guys even take a rosey bath together ! She may even get hansy there too . .

Breakfast in bed (your favorite) , lunch is all of your favorites , and so is dinner ! He loves the little faces you make when eating the stuff you love.

He definitely put rose pedals in your room. He gave you so many gifts throughout the day that you didn't have enough room for them all ! Chocolate , flowers , etc.

He makes the entire day about the both of you. He hugs you and kisses you all day !

He even sets up a candle lit bath for the both of you. Roses around the tub , warm bubble bath , and some exotic sweets for the both of you.

He , like Robin , has to have his hands on you the entire time. He loves you so , so much.

He felt horrible for forgetting about it. He had been so , so busy with his studies. And what he was going to do about Kaido.

He makes it up to you by docking at the neatest island and taking you out to eat. Even though he doesn't like PDA or public affection.

He gives you a rose while his face is LIT UP with red. He's so embarrassed. Shh he's trying his best.

When you guys came back to the Polar Tang , he tries to finish his studies but allows you to be in there with him.

Once he's done , he bathes and goes to sleep with you. He's probably the little spoon . . .

He gives you a little heart trinket while blushing madly.

He brings you out to eat (and almost burned the place down because of the way people looked at you).

He asks Killer for advice. He doesn't know what he's doing , at all. He tries to follow what he said to do , but he fails. He's trying , don't blame him.

He held you close the entire day and made sure everyone knew that he was your boyfriend.

Though he won't admit it , his heart is racing like crazy. If you point it out , he'll yell and deny it.

When you guys docked on the closest island , he took you on a picnic date ! He asked Thatch to make your favorites and his favorites.

He took one of your shared blankets and sat near the sea.

He never believed he could be loved , but you proved him wrong. That's why this day is so important to him.

He brought flowers ! A whole bouquet. He won't say it , but he used your money for it since he was out.

Anyways. He held you the entire time (when he wasn't asleep) , and you guys both had very heartfelt conversations.

You guys fell asleep together , counting the stars and talking about how each line of stars reminds you of something different.

He had been planning what he'd do for a while too.

He pretended like he forgot. Once you "reminded" him , he acted surprised.

Eventually , he surprised you with a romantic date at an expensive fancy restaurant.

it's small moments such as this that remind her of saul's words. each day on the sunny is a reminder, but the little things reinforce those feelings. it was such a wonderful sentiment.

you had no idea what she was thinking about, but the way the corners of her lips eased, your heart jumped too.

It was one of those nights again.

Sweat tumbled down his temple. No source of light. The polar tang was deep in the abyss. Your soft snores. The blanket hooding you both.

His hands were shaky. His chest was pounding. His lips agape.

Just a dream. Just a dream. No.

Not a dream. Reality. The past. Their corpses. The ruins of his city. Bestowed upon him, the laments and dirges of Flevance. They chanted and howled, damned souls who shrieked and condemned the morose government, a newborn Canto VI; Dante’s most passionate inspiration. Mystical, a fantasy, but no dream it was. No, it was not.

If only it could be.

The repugnant fetor of sulfur and acrid smog, ingrained in his nostrils, the buzzing of the flies as he walked among the stench of methane. It was a remote remembrance, clear as a fragile vase of glass, one that would shatter over and over and make his sluggish heart weep, no matter how many times he fixed and carried it. A life torn piece by piece by what was, and is, the ruthless world.

Gone were the days he could live free from his mind, the faces of those he yearned to meet once more, nothing but an ignis fatuus, one that served heartache and warmth in unison. Acerbic, pungent, more than any fruit, acidic upon his tender skin, spilled upon his skull and dissolved it without an ounce of control.

His favorite comics brought dolor. What was formerly one of his dearest pages developed into the fuel of his insecurities, thoughts.

His childhood companions’ cheering whenever he scored the max on a test, quieter than the gale. The nun’s concerned gaze when he carried Lami and asked to bring her home when she got wounded, forever gone. Corazon’s clumsy scenes he wanted to see again. His smile.

He shut his eyes.

How much he craved it. Tore apart in a single night, shredded in another after so thoroughly rebuilding it. And now here he was, trying again. But oh, was it difficult. His breathing often faltered, one false move able to destabilize him. Reconstructing it with paper was an enterprise. A fragment given by each of the people he met — little ones by the citizens in Swallow Island, bigger ones by Wolf, Bepo, Penguin, Shachi, his crew, and what survived of his fractured history was utilized as a base. Yours was almost a blanket. It was a prodigious sheet.

They all supported themselves simultaneously. But it wobbled. A lot. Often he couldn’t manage it. Terrified, alone, as he watched all his efforts about to topple. But it never did.

“… Law?”

Oh no. He woke you up.

“Go to sleep.” It came almost like a snap — to not show he was suffering.

Just go to sleep. Don’t bother with him. Don’t.

“Well… now I won’t do that.” you groggily said, his fingers clenching as you propped yourself up with an elbow. “Nightmare?”

You couldn’t see him in the darkness, but he was still an open book. He couldn’t lie to you, nor did he want to. He tried his best to change his mannerisms and patterns.

You’re his partner. Not a stranger.

“Yeah.” he exhaled tremulously, thorns in his throat.

He heard the rustles, the heat of your frame radiating against his. He couldn’t see you, but he imagined you — feeling your massages and head upon his shoulder. It tickled his neck a little.

“Mh. Baby … it’s okay. It’s okay.”

Obscurity and death clutched him with crisp, meager bones and itching shadows. However, a minor light banished them all; tender, so generous. That sound, yours… Fleeting fingers and honeyed pampering.

His droopy and heavy eyelids fluttered open, those golden eyes that carried unspoken anguish all but courageous; what was a mask he got used to wearing now sunk in the void, crystal tears brimming and gushing down his visage, scrunched up and full of lineaments. Quakes wracked his body, hisses leaving his quivering lips.

“I—I…” Nothing came out. Yet your arms remained still around him.

“Sh … Slowly honey. Take your time. I’m here.”

Here. With him.

“I… I’m so sorry. So sorry. Please forgive me. Please.”

Oh, that poor, poor man … What did he do to deserve this? To experience a catastrophe?

“M—Mom… Dad…”

“Law, hey—”

“La—Lami, Cora… Cora-san..!” He couldn't stop. As one sob wrenched from his lungs, another came, and another, and another, and another. His spine twisted, facing down; curling against you, your lips on his brow.

"Law." You called him gingerly, smoothly, hugging him close. Don't let me go, was all he thought.

"It's not your fault. Never. It's okay. Shh… Honey, hey… It's okay baby, it's okay. You're okay. Shh… Look at me."

And he did. Your palms seemed so much more real. An opportunity, some place to run. A light.

"There we go. Good job sweetie. It's okay. You're okay. It's not your fault."

"… N—not …"

"Not your fault. Never your fault, sweetheart. Everything is okay."

"… Mh. Mmhm."

He responded, unable to form coherent sentences, and cradled you close like a lifeline — the only anchor in this storm. You held him just as tightly, grazing his tense, knotted back. He was shuddering so much.

"Good job. That's my Law. Shh…"

It hurt. It truly did. To catch him like this, to see him so bare. No child, person, should ever go through such horrible things — you remembered how you both cried when he opened up. That confidence he wore for all of his crew finally crumbling at the ounce of vulnerability the universe granted him.

Shachi and Penguin never mentioned it. They divulged tales about Swallow Island — but they kept quiet about Law's other past, respecting his privacy. Bepo was a bit more clumsy with his sayings, information slipping from his fangs before he could stop it. (He'd quickly cover his mouth, a little squeak escaping it.)

When Law revealed everything, it was chaotic. You both had an argument some hours before. You were shocked he didn't crumple in your arms.

Seldom you’ve seen him cry.

"They—they would've liked you," he mumbled between hiccups, the tinge of nostalgia palpable.

"Law…"

"I wish you could've met them. I- I really wish they were here." They’d be proud, wouldn’t they? He could’ve worked with his father. His mother. Lami would’ve been a wonderful nurse or a doctor. Corazon would have joined him.

In another life, perhaps. Now the Rose held them.

"I wish I could've met them, too. I know you miss them… But they're—" his skin molded under your pointing finger as you pressed right on his sweet, scarred heart, "—right here. Forever. They're proud of you. I know they are."

"… I … hope so." he believed so, too — but saying it felt too egoistic of him. If you knew, you’d knock his head. He could tell.

"No no, baby. They are. I'm proud of you, too. So proud. Okay?"

He breathed deeply, nodding slowly.

"Okay. Okay."

“Good. You’re getting better,” you assured him, and those words never felt more gratifying. He had to be kind to himself. Gentle. The mind is fragile. He hopes — no, he knows you’d forgive him for being harsh on himself before. He knows. He knows.

“I try. I do. It's so hard, though,” he sniffed, resting his forehead on yours, to feel your warmth, your breath, your vitality, his "Beatrice", “they went too soon, sometimes I wish I could’ve followed them.” he admits, and your eyes grow more compassionate.

“But … my friends. My crew. The people I’ve met. What my family would want, Corazon’s wish. You. I’m glad to be here,” he says, taking deep breaths between. He’s safe in your arms. He can go at his own pace.

“Are you glad to be alive?” Some might see your question as idiotic, but Law knows the difference.

“That … I cannot tell. Sometimes I still feel like I don’t deserve it.”

“Mh.”

It was rather quiet after that. Only your breathing and his. The stirring of your pajamas. The hushed buzzing of the submarine.

It was welcome, though.

“Change is complex,” he then spoke, looking at you with a glimpse of hope. “but … I’m willing to try. I have to. For the crew, for you, for—for me.”

Tranquility took him when you smiled, something unlocking in his spirit. It wasn’t onerous anymore.

“Good. Especially for you, honey. We appreciate you being so tough, truly, but…” you brushed your lips on his jaw and peppered soft, tiny kisses. “There's nothing wrong with being weak. We all are. If you fight it, it hurts. It’s just us. Our feeble little selves. Give yourself a break from time to time. You are doing well.”

Law deeply appreciated your snogs, his frantic heartbeat calming. You led him down onto the mattress again, covering both your forms with the blanket.

“Let go, honey. Cry. And don’t hold back. You’re safe now.”

Tender murmurs filled the night. Law's head rested in the crook of your neck. His frightened mourns eased, his restless limbs no longer a problem — caresses and soothing, calm words eased the poor child, who wanted nothing but to live in peace.

AFFECTIONATE + STRAW HATS

the straw hats with a extremely affectionate crew member!!

warnings: this was a request, pure fluff, written with platonic relationships in mind + commissions are open !!

the straw hats are a very warm and sweet crew. none of them would ever deny the affection from another mate, but they all have different ways of receiving and dealing with it.

luffy would be a little confused at first. why are you holding his hand? do you want to take him somewhere? after spending some time with you, he wouldn't mind the affection and would be more comfortable about touching you too. if you're not the one hugging him, he will b hanging from you and whining about something.

zoro is the only one that doesn't really know how to deal with your affection. he would never hurt you or be actually mad at you for it, he simply does not know how to react. he will allow you to hug him and hold his arm, even give him kisses on his face, but he will always pull his hands away from your grip. if you ask why, he will tell you that he needs them to fight if something happens. but, eventually, he will let you hold his hand if you are in a more relaxed moment – in private too and don't you dare tell anyone about it.

nami would find your affectionate side extremely lovely. whenever you two are talking, she would lay down her head on your lap, letting you play with her orange hair while she speaks. she loves to cuddle to sleep and hold arms while you two walk around. if you want to give her kisses on the cheek and randomly hug her, she will mimic your actions and giggle loudly.

sanji absolutely thrives with the affection you give him. you can make that man your living teddy bear and he wouldn't mind it at all. kisses, hugs, holding hands, playing with his hair, everything is allowed. he often will initiate those himself; he loves to come up behind you, hug you and spin you around, then give you a light forehead kiss as you laugh. if you hold his hand and tell him he looks nice that day, get ready for him to pass out on top of you, his eyes turned into hearts.

usopp is a little shy when it comes to your physical touch. it doesn't mean he doesn't like it, though! he loves it! he just gets a little embarassed about it. whenever you hold him, he would look around to see if anyone was watching you two; if no one is paying attention, he would lean on your touch and reciprocate it. his favorite thing is when you press a soft kiss on the tip of his nose, it makes him feel validated and nice.

chopper pretends to not like the affection but he absolutely adores it! loves it when you hug him and give him kisses. chopper likes to be held by you as he explains something or while exploring a place the crew decided to check. zoro, robin and you are the people that chopper loves the most to shower with; the way you caress his head and give him little forehead kisses in the bath makes him so so happy.

robin finds your affection really cute. whenever you hug her, she hugs you back and chuckles softly. if you likes to read, she would enjoy having a afternoon with you cuddled up against her body as she reads a book out loud. she would prefer to not cuddle to sleep, but she's definitely alright with you sleeping closer to her.

franky is HUGE on touching as a form of affection. in fact, out of all the straw hats, i believe he is the biggest appreciator of skin-to-skin contact. you can jump on his back while he is working and he will chuckle, spin around while holding you and then keep on working with you as his backpack as if that's nothing. sometimes he might not notice you want to hold his hand because of it's large size, but just give him soft eyes and he will bring out the smaller hand so you can hold it as you wish.

brook would enjoy your physical touch more than he would let out, but he would also be a little insecure about it; after all, he is... well, just bones. if you don't mind it and still keep on hugging him, holding his hand and much more, he would be overjoyed, his characteristic laughter coming out of his mouth.

jinbei wouldn't mind, but wouldn't exactly reciprocate it. he finds your behavior a little odd, although a little endearing too, and he just doesn't know what to do to give it back to you. he will still allow you to hug him and jump on his back whenever you please, as long as you ask or at least warn him about it!
