#mar reblogs #oh my god this was a read #i knew teddie had been butchered but i had no idea how much he was #teddie is one of my comfort characters and i love him so dearly #it always breaks my heart when people hate him for what he says in the dub but now its even more :((( #my poor fluffy little guy... my silly little blorbo.. #i hope if atlus remakes p4 one day they fix this issue #justice for teddie he deserves better #(verbal tics in anime being translated is always kinda complicated iirc but i think the bear puns are cute) #but maybe thats just the me thats a sucker for puns that people often groan at haha #imo i enjoyed sam riegal's (hopefully i spelt that right) performance as teddie but his Japanese voice is def more fitting (and cuter) #ALSO THANK YOU FOR MENTIONING YOSUKE'S TERRIBLE INFLUENCE OF TEDDIE #i love yosuke don't get me wrong and im a huge enjoyer of the hanamura bros content #but really doesn't seem like he's ever sat teddie down and properly calmly explained to him boundaries and whatnot #yosuke should absolutely not have kept those things in site when teddie started living with him #but also he should have taught teddie that it is an invasion of privacy to go through someones things without consent #teddie is a kind hearted bear!!! if you explained things to him and how it can people uncomfortable i believe he would absolutely stop #he cares for and loves his friends (platonically) with all his heart #(also can we talk about how he straight up gets dehumanised sometimes???) #(like wtf was up with that scene at the shrine festival) #(you know the one where ted suggests they each go with one girl) #(and yosuke goes ''ok there's 3 of us and 3 girls'' and refused to include teddie for some reason???) #(i firmly believe teddie going ''actually im going to hang out of all 3 girls now'' was him doing a middle finger to yosuke) #(idk if that was mistranslated or not tho) #(ALSO WHEN THEY ALL JUST LEAVE HIM THERE IN IWATODAI???
