I think we should stop telling people that The Silmarillion is this incredibly dense, dry, practically academic text that you need to be some kind of modern day lore master to comprehend. It's actually a very good book and there's no reason to be afraid of it.

Day 1 of @doriathweek: Thingol and Melian – Enchantment

Behold the naked Elves! I hope you guys don’t mind the nudity ^^;; In all seriousness though, I love how I drew their anatomy, so I couldn’t find it in myself to give them clothes. I imagine this is during the time when they’re in the forest together, dancing and completely in love, while Thingol’s people and brothers worry like heck over him.

(I also have a tiny Maedhros sketch coming later for Namotober, so just hang on tight! XD)
