In today's test, our team tried projection and based on the results of today's projection, we further explored the problem and improved it.
Tumblr media
During the test, we found that the video was not dynamic enough, and we should add more slow and smooth dynamic effects. At the same time, we think that the current music is not very suitable for our theme, so we changed the music. I found a song that is more suitable for our theme and changed it.

It occurred to me a few days ago that I had a video on my phone from my previous trip to Iceland. I thought I could use this video as a base for a video about the natural environment. Add special treatment to make the glitch art. However, after the discussion of the four of us, we found that after practice and production, the effect produced by the production is not very brilliant, relatively dull. So we decided to use the single line, color to make a more dynamic style, more dynamic, abstract, thought-provoking.
We chose a single line because a single line is like everyone in our group, and when we come together we can be a shape. In the video, you can see the shape of a heart, which represents our unity and love. Each line flashes at a different time just as each of us has our own flash points in a different area. So our theme is crisscrossed.
We also encountered difficulties, when we made the video, there was no background music in the video, some music also need copyright. At first, the four of us had no idea what to do, but after a series of consultations and experiments. We finally solved the problem and successfully added music.

We set the general direction as Fault art. I am a student majoring in digital media, and I have been exposed to this knowledge before. Glitch art can also be regarded as a creative means of "beautifying failure" or completing aesthetic activities through "failure".
origin
There is a glitch bar in lapradara, Ecuador. Its predecessor is an old, dilapidated and "full of faults" old house; however, in 2015, the bar was transformed into a new one, more lively, witty and interesting - all of which came from "Fault", or Fault art. In the bar, the rich fault art elements are used for interior design and decoration. From the front of the bar to the interior furniture (lights, switches, wooden tables and chairs, and bar counter), they are painted or decorated with abstract or broken geometric patterns with bright colors.
Through this group cooperation, I have a new understanding of Fault art. I have found beauty from Fault. They not only represent imperfection but also mean accidents and changes. Every fault is like a recreation breaking the rules.
We can see from our finished works that the change of line color forms randomness. When I make lines in Isadora, they are also randomly generated. So when I watch the works we make, I will have an idea of guessing the change of the next line or try to find some rules from the middle. When you do this, you will be attracted to the work. Because it's completely random.

My inspiration for this project comes from the Fault art. After our group discussion, I led to complete this project. I made a dynamic line with Isadora, and then randomly generated it to make it dynamic. The inspiration comes from the work of general lines by Graham Thorne artist. Then the global area coding video is generated by AE. Through the analysis of Graham Thorne's works, I have learned that lines can form a divergent figure through line arrangement. The following is a demonstration video of my production process and results.

1. What is immersive design? Based on the previous statement, we can call designing for flow immersive design.(Kitson, A.,etc, 2018)
Common rules for immersive design: Craig and Geogieva said that storytelling uses the design of situation, immersion, characters, atmosphere, plot and rhythm to integrate the audience into the story. This is also one of the very basic design techniques.
Rule of least effort: reducing cognitive resistance (the amount of mental activity needed to achieve a goal) and motor resistance (the amount of physical activity needed to achieve a goal) is the rule of least effort.
Scope of application
In product design, Vaz believe that not all products are suitable for immersive design. The following types are suitable: Entertainment, activities, educational exhibits, and other activities that require long periods of attention are appropriate.
The following types are not suitable: Activities that focus on efficiency, information acquisition, and utility are not appropriate. Such as stocks, news, information, etc., people need to get information out of the current situation as soon as possible to use the information or information scenario is not applicable.

YU JIANG’S BLOG
After the first week of discussion, we set the general direction as glitch art .I'm an interior design major, so this is the first time I've heard of glitch art.I did some research online on glitch art, a technique that USES digital or analog errors to express aesthetic purpose.Take temporary pixelation, interruption and failure and turn them into visually compelling pieces. It looks like there was an error in the video.
The word "glitch" is already loaded with an aesthetic — highly saturated rainbow stripes and white noise chopping up an image, pixelated video streams in which the subjects' words don't match up with the audio, shimmering and twitching spots in video games (Roy, 2014).
As people become more and more obsessed with technology, glitch art has begun to be valued by more and more people as an aesthetic with unique potential, not just by individual artists.
Glitch art generally encounters the following categories of faults.
    using analog technology that malfunctions
circuit-bending - re-wiring or altering the circuit within the device
data bending - manipulating data files by opening a file of one type in a program designed to open another file (i.e. opening a jpeg in a text application, opening a video in audio processing software, etc.)
using or creating apps that rely on an algorithm to automatically chop up and reproduce a file's foundation (i.e. Pixel Drifter)
datamoshing - intentionally distorting media through loss of data during a file compression process (i.e. streaming a video that is slow and pixelated)
z-fighting - weaving multiple competing visual layers together in a way that forms one layer (i.e. aflickering texture in a video game)(Roy, 2014)
The final effect of our video is more in line with the last one. In our video, we can clearly see the overlapping progression of different kinds of lines.

In the article: what is Virtual Reality?, VR technology is advancing by leaps and bounds and is constantly being refined and updated. As a tool, means, expression or presentation form, it will certainly become a means for artists and designers to create and express.
If from the perspective of art, VR technology has not left art since its birth, you cannot say that virtual scenes, animals and plants created and designed by people in online games, scenes and interactions are not artistic productions, and human's imitation and reproduction of nature are also artistic behaviours(Max, 2019).
Therefore, article History of Virtual Reality said that as a contemporary art virtual reality or any technology or performance tool will undoubtedly be applied by artists in their works. Whether it is commercial or market applications or services or expression as a pure art form, it may be up to artists and designers to skillfully use the features of VR to better achieve communication and communication, solve problems, influence our lives, inspire or cause what kind of thinking or perception. How to transcend or breakthrough its limitations, to improve or innovate, what kind of human reaction and ethical issues will be encountered in the new scene or landscape. How do we change, adjust, influence others, improve, adapt, survive, and so on?

A variety of special effects of immersion art exhibition, bring visitors more clever and beautiful, colorful lighting effects, rich and interesting interactive experience, visitors as if place oneself in the fantasy world, can be hand-painted cycling, animals, vividly by scanning to the LED screen, blossom clever flower pattern on the screen, the touch of the flowers in full bloom. (British council.org., n.d.)
Loving mentioned that the word "immersive exhibition" also appeared in the last two years, and appeared very frequently in the exhibition, becoming the most eye-catching exhibition form in the art exhibition. With its gorgeous display effect and all-round sensory experience, it was very popular among young people and once popular on various social networking platforms. Can't help but sigh, nowadays art exhibition has entered the immersive era?
In the traditional aesthetic concept, the relationship between the audience and the work is' contemplation ', with space and psychological distance and estrangement. (Marcon, 2013) But today, contemporary art talks more about "integration", emphasizing the mutual infiltration of subject and object. Immersive art is a kind of omnidirectional enclosure and placement of subject to object.

My second idea is to create a visual experience of VR cooking because Chinese food always attracts everyone. As Chinese, we are also proud of our hometown cuisine. If I can show you a cooking process, it will be fascinating and refreshing. After I came up with the idea, the group thought it was a great idea, and we started talking about whether it would work. First, we had to find video footage for Chinese cooking, but we found that most of the video footage we could find online was not suitable for video. We agree that should be taken, but we find it very difficult to achieve, because first of all, we are really have no talent in cooking, always keep the kitchen a mess, no aesthetic feeling, then we don't have enough bright kitchen has enough space to photograph, in the end, we don't know whether I can shoot the satisfaction of material at a time, if not, it will cause huge waste of food.

Immersive experiences often include both sensory and cognitive experiences.
· sensory experience: for example, amusement park and Disney theme park, many activities have certain challenges to people, but they mainly use people's sensory experience to make people feel pleasant and exciting. But immersive experiences with sensory stimuli are hard to sustain.(Gilliland, 2019)
· cognitive experience: such as strategy games such as chess, and such as teaching, which match people's skills and challenges, mainly use people's cognitive experience.
And it turns out that activities that involve both rich sensory experience and rich cognitive experience create the most immersive experiences.
Resident Advisor mentioned that games are, of course, the most widely used, because they are the easiest and most demanding to get people into immersive states. It is also widely used in real life. For example, the environment of nightclubs and lighting create a sense that people can't tell the difference between day and night, while the environment of shopping malls should focus on making people immersed in the shopping and forget about time. Theme parks such as Disneyland and even casinos are better at using immersive designs to lure customers into long stays.
Narrative design (storytelling), using the design of situation, immersion, characters, atmosphere, plot and rhythm to let the audience into the story itself. This is also one of the very basic design techniques.
So the first idea that came to my mind was to use 360-degree immersion technology to present a nightclub-style work with rhythmic music, and we made a refreshing visual video together. The other team members thought it was a good idea and we should try something. We looked for videos in a similar style, and after watching them we agreed that we should explore some other topics as well, so we buried the idea and started listing more possible options.

In the first class, I met my team members, Yin Shi from PG design, Xu Xinyue from animation and Jiang Yu from interior. After introducing ourselves, we had no idea what was waiting for us. After a while, Ian led us to a few challenges, through these challenges, we quickly understand the character and ability of each group, for example, I was able to quickly put forward many different solutions, Xinyue can always decisions out the best way to Yin & Jiang is a very good plan, their beginning ability is very strong, can our idea is to change, and can arrange everyone should do the work.

After learning what we needed to accomplish, we both found the project challenging because none of us had ever worked on a public immersion project before. After class, we decided to do research first and hold the first group meeting the next day.
