Teddy waved a hand dismissively when Louis called him brilliant. He worked hard, that was all. However he did appreciate that Louis had said that obviously he'd done well. He snorted when Louis said he put up with him being whiny 24/7. "Well, some of those hours I'm asleep or at work so it's not really 24/7..." He cracked a smile and shook his head. "You're not whiny, anyway." He nodded when Louis went to get changed, clocking his outfit and wondering why he was wearing that. He was singing along to Little Mix when Louis came back, dishing out the food. "What have you been up to today?" It was unusual for Louis to be out during the day. Not that he was a vampire, but... Teddy didn't see him outside much.
Considering how annoyed Teddy had been at Louis for keeping him up during the most recent exams, Teddy was amazed when he got his grade and realised he'd passed with flying colours. It was his best mark on an Auror exam to date, so he wanted to celebrate. On his way home, he went to the shop and bought a whole load of alcohol and ingredients for Ratatouille, which he knew Louis liked. It was partly Teddy's way of apologising for bitching at Louis for being noisy while he was studying, and partly just as a fun way to let loose. It was funny, Teddy reflected, that once upon a time he would have gone straight to Vicki's when he'd had good news, and now he was going to spend time with her brother. Teddy felt like Louis had been a good influence on him, though - Teddy was more inclined to relax and have a laugh now than he was when he was with Vicki.
By the time Louis' key was turning in the lock, Teddy had almost finished making dinner and was already a couple of beers in, starting to dance around the kitchen to the music he was blasting. "Bonjour!" He called.

"Ding ding ding, give the boy a prize!" Teddy replied, beaming, happy to know that Louis knew what was happening in his life. He gave Louis a serious look: "I did so badly that I've been banned from the Ministry for life." He snorted before shaking his head, smiling. "Obviously I'm joking, I did really well and I have you to thank for putting up with me being whiny and stressed while I was studying." He hummed along to Counting Stars while he set the table. "Give me 5 minutes and food will be ready, and I bought some drinks to go with it," he said, waving his beer around.

"The best thing about living in a box will be how easy it is to move. If someone you don't like knows our address, we can just up and move it somewhere else without any of the hassle of going through letting agents." Teddy enjoyed how ridiculous their conversation was. He let out some moans, feeling idiotic and wondering if it was actually having an impact on their neighbours. Hopefully they couldn't also hear their dumb chattering. "You're disgusting," Teddy immaturely retorted, shaking his head, losing respect for Fleur. "It's fine, I can live with your wrong opinion, it just means more for me. You'd better buy both when you go, though," he said, pointing a threatening finger at Louis.
Teddy's awkward silence let him know he was correct in his assumption: Teddy didn't want to think of him sexually. Well, he could cry and drink about that later. "Yeah, I guess it's nice that they like each other so much, but I cannot believe how loud they are." How they had that much energy, he had no idea. "Uh..." The obvious way would be to have loud sex, at which his mind threw up a helpful image of him and Teddy in bed together. Merlin. "Well, see how they like it if someone's having loud sex next door. Have you seen Easy A?" he asked, hoping that he wouldn't have to explain this.

Teddy snorted at Louis' dramatic sigh. "Such traitors, honestly," he said, shaking his head. "Great! We can make that our backup plan for when they hike the rent prices ridiculously, too." They could make a lovely little box house together. Teddy wondered if Louis had any friends - they didn't tend to talk about stuff like that. Teddy had a few colleagues he mentioned when talking about his day, but Louis never really talked about anyone else. "Wow, are you that turned on by me liking sweet popcorn?" He joked, rattling the headboard. "Hang on, do you actually like salty? That's disgusting, Louis, I'm telling your mother."

"At least you paved the way for the rest of the non-Gryff Weasleys, though, you trailblazer, you." Teddy could remember everyone being shocked about Louis but at least he hadn't been in Slytherin. When Al was sorted into Slytherin there had been some drama (mostly from non-family members, like the press). "Oh, Merlin, I'd just move out if that happened. I could live on the streets for a bit," he joked. "You have improved, to be fair," he had to admit, which was nice, even if had stemmed from an argument. "Who needs friends when you have a roomie, right?" He asked, given that Teddy never really brought friends home either. "As long as you're not one of those weirdos who likes salty popcorn, that sounds great!" He frowned at Louis calling his sex life depressing, not really wanting to discuss it with him. Just because he was too busy with work to find anyone to hook up with. Anyway, it wasn't like Louis was bringing loads of guys home, either (which Teddy very much appreciated).

"Heyy, don't say that like it's a bad thing. I definitely would've been a Hufflepuff if I wasn't Gryffindor." Hufflepuffs were great, anyway, look at Louis. "Ew, I'd rather not, these two don't leave much to the imagination." Teddy wrinkled his nose. "l mean, the questionnaire was in my head but, like, the regular: how tidy are you (which you're acing), do you have any really annoying friends that'll always be here, are you a nice person or do you like to murder puppies on the daily, y'know?" Not that Teddy'd had anyone else on the radar to move in but Louis had seemed like a great option. Sure, they'd had a few disagreements since Louis had moved in, but who didn't argue occasionally with their roomie? "Ok, great, it's a date!" He said with a grin, looking forward to some very manly crying at some dumb movies. "It's not at all worn out," he rebutted, although he hadn't got a new one since breaking up with Vicki. Ew. He joined Louis and started jumping, before being hit with how ridiculous this was and stifling giggles.

Teddy snorted. "Uh, I'll leave that one to you, thanks. I won't be a part of it," he said, putting his hands up in an 'I surrender' motion. "Of course, I can't stop you if you decide to do it..." Although Teddy couldn't imagine how awkward it could be, especially if the guy turned Louis down. "Yeah, I can't believe that wasn't on my potential-roommate questionnaire. 'What movies do you like?' is such an obvious one. How about movie night Saturday? Although you're not allowed to make fun of me when I get really invested, ok?" Teddy was excited; he missed watching movies with other people. It was always less fun by yourself. "Well, if it breaks, you can buy me a new one," he said, smiling brightly. "I mean, it's lasted thus far, so y'know..." He winced as one of the neighbours gave out a particularly loud noise. "Uh, after you?"

"If I was more Slytherin I'd suggest we could do something to make them have a fight but that feels too mean." Teddy would be absolutely wracked with guilt if they broke up because of something he'd done. And anyway that might lead to hate sex which could be even worse. "I have to admit that Muggle 2000s rom-coms generally are my faves. They're my go-to after a long day. I must have watched some of them at least 10 times." He smiled sheepishly. "Does it share a wall with theirs? I hadn't noticed," he joked, leading the way into his room and shoving the clothes that were strewn around his bed onto his desk chair. Teddy wasn't the tidiest person in the world.

Teddy snorted. "Maybe they're in their blissful honeymoon period and they'll stop soon," he said hopefully. Merlin, what he would give to get them to shut up; they'd had a major sex-sesh just a few weeks before when Teddy had been trying to work on something important for his Auror training and it had completely thrown him off. Alas, that wasn't an excuse you could use your with your supervisor. His eyes lit up at Louis' suggestion. "Yes, that's one of my favourite movies!" He grinned, feeling a bit like a reckless teenager once more. "Let's do it! ... make a noise, I mean," he added after a moment of hesitation, realising the innuendo a moment too late.
