I’m really focusing on me rn, but I was thinking.

I want someone who is kind. Someone who does kind things for people that makes me think, “wow, i would never think to do that” and I want to be kind to others and bring more kindness out in them. Someone who is courteous and kind to complete strangers.

I want someone who understands me. Who knows when I get quiet to let me have my space for a little and then come bug me.

I want someone who trusts me. Who knows my character and my heart. Who knows I am a big lover no matter how much I try to hide it.

I want someone who lets me in. Someone who wants me to be apart of their life. Someone who takes me into consideration as I do for them.

I want someone who I can laugh with. Someone who genuinely makes me laugh by just being themselves. Someone who thinks I am hilarious, which I am, and someone who can relax.

I want someone who wants to put in the work. Who realizes that life is not perfect and the most beautiful things come from trial and error.

I want someone who respects me. Who knows my value as I know it, or more so. I want someone who knows how intelligent I am and who values everything that I bring to the table.

I want someone who finds me beautiful, first thing in the morning.

I want love.

And if I can’t have that with someone, I’ll just keep having it with my damn self 😛

I asked people this question: Is it possible for two people in a relationship to truly love each other equally or is there always gonna be one who loves the other more? I got varied answers. A lot of people agreed that there’s always going to be someone who loves the other more, may isa na mas nagmamahal. Some people said that two people in a relationship could and should love each other equally. But isn’t love so weird? Sometimes, you can love each other with everything you’ve got and it still won’t be enough.

Between Leah and Clark, it’s pretty apparent that Clark is the one who gives more to their relationship. This is not necessarily a good nor bad thing; the outcomes could depend entirely on circumstance. It certainly doesn’t invalidate Leah’s love for Clark in any way because clearly, Leah also loves Clark with everything she’s got. But since Clark is the one who gives more of himself to their relationship, it can be really easy for him to think that he loves Leah more than Leah loves him— even if that’s not the case.

Based on my assessment, between the two of them, Clark is the one who is more insecure about their relationship because he feels he’s the one who loves more. I think he is afraid of Leah never being able to fully reciprocate the time, effort, and affection that he gives her. On top of all of this, he has personal insecurities that could affect the way he handles Leah’s lack of time for him. This is why he is always quick to ascertain how she’s feeling about their relationship and about their engagement.

On the other hand, I think Leah is the one who is more confident about their love. When she decided she was going to wager her heart on their relationship, she did it because she was sure that Clark loved her completely and as deeply as she loves him. Even though nearly every aspect of her life— her job, her family— is stressing her out… it’s Clark’s love that remains to be the one certain thing she has in her life. Maybe that’s why she also tends to take it for granted— because she knows he loves her so much, he will always be there.

I think that’s where they stand. And Simon will definitely shake their story up. I’m excited to see how Simon’s presence will affect Leah and Clark’s young relationship and I am excited to see how Leah and Clark will fight for their love.

God, this show has effectively become my life. How did I get here? How did this happen? Haha!

The heart of this show is in how real and human its leads are. Clark and Leah deal with issues that you and I can relate with. And they make mistakes that you and I have probably been guilty of at one time or another. And while that makes the show so wonderful, that also makes it so much more painful.

It’s painful to see Leah being unable to trust Clark enough because her father’s life is way too important to leave to chance. And it hurts even more to see Clark feel so insecure about Simon that he readily likens Leah to her mother despite knowing how much pain that part of her life caused her in the past. Dick move, Clark, dick move.

It hurts to see your two favorite characters have to go through this… but I believe this is a necessary pain. They need to make themselves whole first and find who they are apart from who they are when they’re together. Because if they go down the road Clark wants them to, they will just end up in a co-dependent relationship that will only cause them more pain further down the road. They need to grow up… because it takes grown-ups to make relationships work.
