scapegoating steven lim for a whole group decision is absolutely racist whether it's conscious or not. i've seen very little directed at shane and what i have seen is saying he's "going along with it" like it's not His company so he would have had to have an active role in not only okaying but also developing it?

it's also not just right now - it's people jumping down Specifically steven's throat every time watcher makes a decision that asks fans for money. just because he drives a tesla and admits to owning and liking expensive things. calling him robotic and greedy and saying he's out of touch with their fanbase and belittling his shows because they're not the ones you want to see more of.. yeah there are underlying reasons for why he's being targeted.

CT Scan of 1,000 Year Old Buddha Statue Reveals Mummified Monk Inside

A CT scan and endoscopy carried out by the Netherlands-based Drents Museum at the Meander Medical Centre in Amersfoort revealed the mummified remains of Liuquan, a Buddhist master. The organs had been removed prior to mummification and researches discovered rolls of paper scraps covered in Chinese writing.

Some practicing Buddhist believe that Liquan is not in-fact dead, but in an advanced state of meditation.

sorry but Michaela Coel was ‘fleabagging’ a year before Phoebe Waller Bridge. Chewing Gum was written by and starring Michaela Coel, she breaks the fourth wall and talks candidly (and hilariously) about her inner workings and sexual intimacies. She also began Chewing Gum as a one woman show and then developed it into a show, just like Phoebe Waller Bridge did a year later. The only real difference is that Chewing Gum is set on an estate in London and is predominantly concerned with a Black point of view within a working class community, while Fleabag is about a psychologically unstable middle class white woman. I’m not throwing shade at Fleabag - it’s beautifully executed, beautifully written and beautifully performed. But what I hate is that its style has been received as so ORIGINAL when Michaela Coel had done Chewing Gum already. Phoebe Waller Bridge did an amazing job with that style, BUT SHE DID NOT COIN IT.

It sadly doesn’t surprise me that Fleabag has made Phoebe Waller Bridge almost sacred in the theatre/tv community while Michaela Coel had to write, create, direct and star in ANOTHER masterpiece of a completely different style (I May Destroy You) before she even got into the same arena. That truly is double the work for half the reward.

Chewing Gum’s humour is colourful, loud, quirky and unflinchingly embarrassing. I love it. Also the main character, despite her flaws and many embarrassing encounters, is a truly positive role model for any young girl embarking into their sexual lives - she makes a lot of mistakes but she is earnestly pursuing GOOD SEX (whatever that means😭😭😭). Something I love is how she always completely unabashedly tells her potential sexual partners that she’s a virgin (“Oh no we’re 100% having sex. I just can’t do any tricks” 😍😍). Also, the sex scenes in Chewing Gum are 100000% funnier and more interesting than the sex scenes in Fleabag, because it’s about a completely inexperienced and enthusiastic (and possibly autistic? Not sure but it was a thought I had) 24 year old woman who is determined to lose her virginity - and often completely mistranslates her friends’ well meaning advice about the art of seduction. Give it a watch - it’s now on Netflix. Support Michaela Coel who is a PIONEER of television in the UK, and love to the hugely talented Phoebe Waller Bridge, too. Two women forging the way for young women to write and star in their own shows. But do your homework and don’t let the originators go by the wayside.
