MARAMI PO BANG NATATANGGAL NA FRESHIE?

nope. as far as I know, wala naman masyadong natatanggal na freshie. It usually happens during your second year, where your subjects are a little bit more difficult than your first year. hahaha! but what I said shouldn;t be an excuse for you to slack off during your first year. start developing good study habits as early as now! ;)

Ano po magandang book for acct 1a and B saka acct 2a and B bukod sa hairy potter and yung required textbooks? :) yung may mga practice questions na po with answers

For 1a&b, try mo yung Ultimate Accounting Reviewer ni SI JC Domingo... For 2a&b, wala akong alam eh. Kasi yung required text lang ginamit namin dun. pero sabi nila, p2 daw ni Dayag... not sure kung effective though.. :( Sorry kung di masyadong helpful! huhuhu! :(

Hello po, ano pong books ang mauulit gamitin? Magbebenta po kasi kami ng books, may mga books po ba na magagamit pa namin the next year or the ff years

So far, yung mga books na alam kong mauulit gamitin ay yung eco book, mga accounting books (lalo na yung sa finacc), finman...Yung mga gen ed books, pwede na ibenta. :))

Ok lang naman kahit wala kang background sa accounting. Basta kapag may accounting subject ka na, makinig sa discussion. Try mo na rin mag-advance reading para di super clueless. :)

Ano po recommended calculator ninyo ? :) thank you

do you mean kung anong brand or what type? hahaha. kasi kung type, of course I would recommend yung electronic and not the scientific. though, you'll need your scientific calculators for your first 2 years since you have some math subjects. 

Kung brand naman ang tinatanong mo, I say any brand. as long as gumagana, and comfortable kang gamitin. hahaha! Based sa mga nakikita ko samin, majority of us use Canon or Casio. ;) oh, and mas maganda kung 12 digits (or more. your choice. :)) ) yung calculator mo para di na magkalituhan pagdating sa decimal places. ;)

Ano po mas maganda? Cwts or lts? Can u give me background of lts po based on your experiences? Freshie po kase ako, i'm thinking na ano kunin sa 2nd yr. thanks!! :)

In my biased opinion, it's LTS. hahaha! I can't say kung ano mas maganda e since di ko naexperience ang CWTS. But I think mas nakakapagod ang CWTS. Kung pipiliin mo kasi magCWTS, you should be ready for some hiking and for some body-building activities. loljk! Seriously though, from what I've heard from my blockmates, sometimes they build a house, sometimes they go to a mountain to plant trees, minsan din naman sumasama sila sa mga nage-LTS to prepare their food and stuffs, and minsan nagtuturo din sila. so kung baga, sa CWTS, be ready for any kind of community service.

Sa LTS naman, you'll be like a student teacher to elementary children. If you love kids and if you love interacting with them, and teaching them, then I think you should choose LTS. Personally, nagenjoy kasi ako dito sa LTS kahit na mayroong mga mahirap turuan na bata kasi makukulit pero kasi iba yung sense of fulfillment when they acknowledge you na parang teacher/ate nila. Tapos at the end of the day, parang ang lapit na ng loob mo sa kanila (lalo na kung mag-one on one teaching kayo) and ganoon din naman sila sayo.Tapos minsan naman, kung matapos kayo ng maaga sa lessons, makakalaro/makakabonding mo pa sila. :) Medyo mahirap nga lang ang preparations kasi may mga ibibigay yan sayo na parang lesson plan na dapat ituro mo sa bata, so either ipaphotocopy mo yun for them to answer or just prepare visual aids. 

Sa group kasi namin, naexperience namin magturo nung madami and naexperience din namain magturo ng konti, mas naenjoy ko yung konti lang though enjoy din naman yung marami. Pero mas okay yung one on one teaching kaysa sa classroom setting kasi mas makikilala mo talaga yung bata and mas makakabonding mo siya. 

so yeah, napahaba na ata sagot ko, but I tell you one thing is for sure, kahit ano man piliin mo sa kanila, magCWTS ka man or magLTS, pareho silang mahirap but very FULFILLING. 

PS: hindi naman sa pinopromote kong magLTS ka, but hindi ako nagsisi na LTS yung pinili ko! I REALLY REALLY ENJOYED THE EXPERIENCE! teacher for 3 fieldworks (3 separate days)! :))

Nothing to worry about comp 1. Yung mga basic things lang yan like Microsoft office. Possibly may project na kailangan ipass.Acct 1A&B, fundamentals pa lang yan. Magbasa in advance para di maging super clueless sa lesson. Makinig sa prof para maintindihan lalo. I suggest taking this subject seriously in preparation for the higher accounting subjects. And kung gusto mo ma-exempt sa retention exam, aim for a 2.0 or higher for both acct 1A&B and 2A&B. :)

Hello! I suggest Hairy Potter and Bentahan by JC Domingo! :) or if you have siblings/friends that are taking up accountancy, you can borrow their textbooks para i ka na bumili aside from your prescribed textbook. ;) :) - A

Hello ate! Di po ako napasa sa 1st choice ko in ust which is amv :( i really want to study accountancy in ust :( may chance po ba pag nagparecon ako? Thank you po saka ask ko lang po kung pwede ako magparecon sa commerce but hindi po kasama yun sa choices ko nung ustet? I really need your help! Huhu :(

hello fellow thomasians! just answer this if you have something to share for our incoming babies! hihihi!

sisimulan ko na...

1. BAWAL MAWALA SA LOOB NG BAG MO.... Slippers, Reg Form(especially this one hangga't wala pa kayong id!), Umbrella, and of course your school supplies. ;)

2. Kung may locker, it doesn;t hurt to have rain boots ready! just in case you experience the flood. *winks*

3. *Incoming AMV freshies!* As much as possible... NO HEELS! unless you wanna murder your feet by going up 3(?) flights of stairs in your 3-inch heels. (we are not allowed to use the elevator. huhuhu! believe me.. this is bad news especially when you're running late for class. :)) ) Kung bet niyo talaga magheels, wear flats first then change pagdating niyo ng 3rd floor ng carpark para naman di kawawa si feet. :D

Sa finacc 1, Intermediate Accounting vol. 1 by Robles and Empleo. Sa cost naman, Cost Accounting by Raiborn and Kinney. Di ko lang sure kung yan pa rin ang gagamitin sa incoming academic year.
