So Missouri is introducing a bill that would make it so teachers would be charged as sex offenders and put on the registry for "contributing to social transition" of trans youth. This is so completely fucked up. A teacher can be charged with a class E felony for using they/them pronouns. They’re making aiding trans people punishable by law. They’re making it illegal to help trans people. They want to make it impossible to support us. They want to cut us off from all resources in society. They want to starve us out.

Excellent news btw!

So I have sensory issues when it comes to dental hygiene, BUT I got a new toothbrush that’s like a whole mouthpiece so it does all your teeth at once and takes less time, it also doesn’t have the brushy scrubby sound that I absolutely hate.

I just had a dentist appointment the other day and 1) I didn’t have any cavities this time! 2) dentist says my dental hygiene is great! So I guess the toothbrush (combined with mouthwash) is working!

in light of israel's looming invasion on rafah, south africa implored the icj to call for the protection of palestinians with new preliminary orders. the icj denied this request, insisting that its january orders would be sufficient enough in ensuring the safety of people residing in rafah.

we have all seen how israel responded to the icj verdict earlier this month. they have all but intensified their attacks on palestinians, their favorite of whom seem to be children. this will end in a bloodbath. palestinians, already malnourished and living in literal tents, will be bombarded, they will be shot, they will be slaughtered. and when i say palestinians, a lot of them are actual toddlers. the videos coming out of this are proof enough.

at this point, it has been made amply clear that palestinians will never experience safety in their own homeland. a lot of the families in gaza are trying to raise funds to get out of it, because there's nowhere left to go.

there is nowhere left to go. if these people don't get the funds necessary to escape, they will die.

it's vital that you go to operation olive branch's spreadsheet, choose a family that resonates with you, and donate as much as you can to their gofundme. every last dollar counts. one dollar could be the difference between life and death for a family. please don't fall victim to the bystander effect. your contribution counts, however little it may be. and whether you're able to donate or not, spread this to as many people as you can. each second we stay silent is a second an entire family is brutally massacred.

Love how neurotypicals will be like “there’s not a lot of noise in here you shouldn’t be getting so stressed” when the TV is on, I can hear a phone playing music in the bathroom, A twelve year old is playing on his phone on the couch near me, clicking a pen, and an eight year old is playing with LEGO at the coffee table, all the while I’m listening for the 2 year old who is asleep upstairs

I love my nieces but I do not like children who live with me.

I’ve been around these two almost constantly for the past four days and now my nephew (who likes to push buttons) is here too. I am overstimulated to the point of tears. Gonna have to miss extended family get-together tomorrow afternoon just so I can regroup enough for work on Thursday.

#only ended up being there for about an hour after the children arrived #but got to meet uncles new dog #so that was nice

the funniest meltdown ive ever had was in college when i got so overstimulated that i could Not speak, including over text. one of my friends was trying to talk me through it but i was solely using emojis because they were easier than trying to come up with words so he started using primarily emojis as well just to make things feel balanced. this was not the Most effective strategy... until. he tried to ask me "you okay?" but the way he chose to do that was by sending "👉🏼👌🏼❓" and i was so shocked by suddenly being asked if i was dtf that i was like WHAT???? WHAT DID YOU JUST SAY TO ME?????????? and thus was verbal again
