BEHOLD! The PIT!!!

[Auzī points to a crack in the rock on the side of a very short cliff. The hole is making a chittering noise... Many chittering noises...

Auzī uses Flash to briefly light up the inside, and whether you see it or not, the walls undulate with Galvantula crawling over each other and the floor is a fuzzy sea of Joltiks all the way to the back wall.

Auzī reaches in, scoops up a bunch of Joltiks in two hands like cupping water, and dumps them over Tiks head.]

Haha, get Tik'd, nerd.

Now I get to show you the cave...

It's a bit of a squeeze to get in, but it's very fun.

Be careful taking your first step off the rock in the opening. The floor is actually grey, not yellow and fluffy. And the walls are not yellow-blue, they are reddish.

It will not appear this way, but you have to trust me.

Also, your Galvantula-Sight may get a bit overwhelmed. They like the cave because it's magnetic. That plus the hundreds of Galvantula and thousands of Joltik may make it a little hard to see...

Now I get to show you the cave...

The spirit of hospitality is dead these days, time was you'd tell someone about the spider pit and they'd be falling over themselves to get out in... Shame how times change...

[The centre of the clearing is taken up by a truly massive and thriving Heritiera littoralis, a very much not native tree that shouldn't really be able to survive in this soil, which has somehow survived the charring that climbs the trunks of the young redwoods on the perimeter of the clearing.

The grasses and shrubland at the ground have dried quite a bit from rapid heat, but any fires have been dampened already.

Kerosene the Chandelure is currently doing fast stressed out loops around the Mangrove while sputtering worriedly. Auzī perks up from where it is nestled in the wall-like roots and barks out briefly before switching to telepathy.]

"CD!!! It's so good to see you! I told your sentient light fixture that you were okay, glad to see I wasn't lying."

"Well, you know how it's called the Looking-glass Mangrove? Because the bottom of the leaves are a shiny silver colour? Well, this one takes that a bit more literally.

Everything that enters this forest becomes bound to one of the leaves for the entirety of their stay. If you find their leaf, you can look into it and instead of seeing your own reflection, you see where they are and what they're doing. Each one is surveilling a living creature in Lostlorn."

[It climbs somewhat up the tree and looks around for a moment, then, spotting something, leaps to the end of a branch over CDs head and it bends under Auzī's weight until it is standing beside CD with the branch held down next to it.

Auzī flips over one of the leaves and instead of reflecting CD, it shows, as if through a slightly blurry looking-glass, Porridge, as she runs off her energy around the edge of the clearing.

Auzī let's this linger for a moment, then releases the branch. It flicks back up into the canopy and CD notices that not a single leaf is shaken loose. Nor does the tree seem any worse for wear at having been handled like that.]

"She was desperate to make sure she could know when anyone entered. So that none of her pack was shot down by humans, like her predecessor was."

[It shakes it's head, wagging a tail that Zoroark's typically lose upon evolving, but that it decided it wanted back. It reaches into a notch in the tree and with a mischievous smile flicks open two pokéballs and watches as a Smeargle and a Jolteon land heavy on top of CD.]

"Hehehe, she was born in the wilderness of Alola where they grow native. Got snatched up by some explorer on a wooden boat as a Zorua and dumped here when they decided they didn't actually want her.

She was taken in by the Lostlorn packs and grew close to the previous Trickster, when he was shot down by an oblivious human she received the power and grew something from her home to comfort herself. It's stood here since. It also has some special properties if you wanted to hear about it?"

[It turns back with a wry grin, amused at your predicament.]

Porridge will 100% book it and get lost, she's a runner. shes got good recall with me...but i dont know if she would listen to you...

Auzi!! I'm all good!! Been catching up on college classes today- I'm getting in a bunch of trouble fro that, and organising a new dorm for me to live in!!

You're probably wayyyy more stressed looking after a whole pack- I only have to manage me haha- couldn't imagine how hard that would be.

I might come over sometime... not enitrely sure when, I need like a week before I can attempt any hero work again
