When I was reading Hero of Ages I was also looking at mistborn fanart and I kept seeing drawings of Vin and Elend in a field of flowers. I saw it so many times that I knew it had to be based off of an actual scene in the book. So when I continued reading and the world seemed to be ending I kept reminding myself that at the end somehow the planet would be restored and Vin and Elend would go sit on the lawn and have a picnic and everything would be okay.
