Not to mention that moderation of these topics means the removal of tags. People wont stop writing it you'll just stumble onto it untagged, which is significantly worse. Use filters, use blocking, use the back button. Actually read all the tags. People need to start curating their internet experiences again, and stop thinking that just because they dont like something, that no one should. Keep purity politics out of ao3.
you know i have never heard a convincing arguement as to why AO3 should not moderate the content that is posted to their website and i think a lot of the arguement against moderation on AO3 boils down to, terminally online people thinks community moderation is the same as government censorship and personally sending the cops to someone’s house to arrest them irl/
Just checking....
We all pronounce Miette like My-TAY in our heads, right?
* Adding a note because I FEEL yall's frustration.
I feel similar to the way you feel when someone uses the word "casted" instead of "cast" when someone is cast in a show, for example...
So...
I PROMISE I never said it aloud.
It is indeed "Meyet" said in almost one syllable, with a French roll of the tongue in the middle.
TODAY I LEARNED.
It means Crumb.
my manager just asked me what my hobbies are outside of work and i cannot accurately describe how surreal it was. it was like being asked by the guy who locked you in the dungeon if you used to do anything fun before they locked you in the dungeon.
definitely overanalyzing this but when Husk walks away with Angel looking at him with his big googly eyes, he's replaced by the big, shiny "JACKPOT" sign
hey man maybe if you think about the fact that dogs dream, and that non-human animals play, and that octopuses decorate their dens, and that there are non-human animals that have cultures, and that ants teach each other, and that fossils exist, and that there are so many forms of language and communication, and that fellow apes look so much like us, and that we are not alone you'll see the beauty and joy
So we all know that Tumblr is US-centric. But to what degree? (and can we skew the results of this poll by posting it at a time where they should be asleep?)
