That’s completely okay. It’s not shutting me down, her having ocd was never a plot point and it is just as easy to not include it as it is to include it in the first place. I had the weird feeling it wasn’t a good idea, and that’s why I asked in the first place. Thanks!
I’m writing an oc. She starts out as a stalker, and she eventually kills an awful person who has been physically aggressive to the person she’s stalked. The person she stalks disappears and eventually she becomes this Vigilante Murderer. She is never coded as a villain, just someone trying to do the right thing in a very wrong way. As I worked on her character and researched stalkers I started thinking she fit as a person with OCD. Is it a bad stereotype or negative to have a murder with ocd??
i would not recommend writing a murdering stalker character with ocd. even if she’s not a villain. if you don’t have OCD or any similar obsessive disorder then don’t go there, honestly. besides that, i don’t really see how OCD would tie into those types of behaviors? sorry to shut you down- i just absolutely do not think it would be a good idea to write that. OCD is already treated as something erratic and neurotic when it’s not being completely misconstrued; that’s not something you want to feed into, not really.

A close, friendly community for authors, poets and novelists, we are inclusive of all and caring for every newcomer that we house. After an incredible six months of laughter, love confessions and lots of productivity, I think our bumpy yet rewarding road has lead us to a point where we’re in dire need of a reintroduction.
Merits;
Regular word sprints and encouragement.
NaNoWriMo compatibility.
An experienced, friendly mod team always on hand.
A wide variety of timezones to minimise periods of inactivity.
A weekly WIP spotlight in which it is encouraged to create fanworks for and discuss a particular user’s WIP.
A daily unusual word raffle.
Weekly prompt fills.
Places to post excerpts, poems, music, art etc., as well as to ask for writing advice, critique, general advice, beta help, book reccomendations and productivity tips. Dedicated positivity and vent channels, and a thriving general chat for casual discussion.
Regular voice chat sessions, Cards Against Humanity games (with a dedicated Café card deck) and movie nights.
Past, current and future events including writing marathons, poetry anthologies, gift exchanges, art trades and more.
Guidelines;
You must be fifteen or over to apply for membership to the Café.
It is encouraged that you join for non-promotional reasons - we sweep for active members seasonally, and while there is no requirement that one is active everyday, we thrive from an active userbase of members willing to go out of their comfort zone to interact with others.
In essence; come on down if you’re looking to make some new friends! Our community is built on the back of friendship, loyalty and affection, and we’re always looking to find new people. You might just be our next core member, and make some friends to last for years!
The Writers’ Café is my pride and joy, and it would mean the world to me if anybody was able to boost this and help spread our community! We will start accepting and sorting through applications come November, 2019. Thank you for reading!

Approach with caution
[image description: a fake dating sim screenshot of a woman standing in front of space ship windows overlooking an orange, red, blue, and green galaxy. The woman is leaning against a railing looking down at the viewer with a smirk. She has styled shoulder-length black hair, dark eyes, a bandage taped over a wound on her cheek, black crop top, and a black leather jacket on. There is a text box with three options below it.
‘Genami: Do you really want to risk it?’
‘Approach with caution’, ‘run away’, or ‘Ask about midi-chlorians’
The top left corner has a calendar date ‘Friday 4 May’ and the top right has two gears.]
