Women are angry, and it isn’t hard to figure out why.
We are underpaid and overworked. Too sensitive, or not sensitive enough. Too dowdy or too made-up. Too big or too thin. Sluts or prudes. We are harassed, told we are asking for it, and asked if it would kill us to smile. Yes, yes it would.
Contrary to the rhetoric of popular “self-help” and an entire lifetime of being told otherwise, our rage is one of the most important resources we have, our sharpest tool against both personal and political oppression. We’ve been told for so long to bottle up our anger, letting it corrode our bodies and minds in ways we don’t even realize. Yet our anger is a vital instrument, our radar for injustice and a catalyst for change. On the flip side, the societal and cultural belittlement of our anger is a cunning way of limiting and controlling our power.
We are so often told to resist our rage or punished for justifiably expressing it, yet how many remarkable achievements in this world would never have gotten off the ground without the kernel of anger that fueled them?

Pregnancy is not "inconvenient"
Missing the bus is inconvenient.
Losing your purse is inconvenient
Pregnancy is intrusive, risky and life-changing and no one should have to justify not wanting to go through it.

Society did a really good job brainwashing women into thinking they need marriage and males to "settle down" and have children in order to be happy.
You can do so many things in life, while alone, single, and happy.
Romance is not required to find happiness.
Don't settle down and slow your careers down, or put your goals on hold for men who don't deserve you.

Today in non-binary:
“I don’t feel safe publicly coming out as a ‘special’ non-woman who will still dress like and act like a woman.”
Tumblr media
“Sometimes I wish I never came out as non-binary.”
Tumblr media
Oh, man, that sounds serious. Why?
Tumblr media
Oh! No one was paying you special attention for it.
Tumblr media
And because you’re okay with your body and how you present, all you really want out of being “non-binary” is the right to control others’ language, which they’re no longer willing to do. And if you are you no matter what, then it should follow that even if people use “she” to refer to you, that doesn’t change your special “them-ness,” right?
Non-binary people seem exhausting and exhausted. It seems to me that if one must work so hard for one’s gender, then it is in fact a performance rather than something innate.

when men try to talk about the physiology of the female body they make it abundantly clear that they think the vagina is just a hole. the vagina is it’s own complex ecosystem but men never bothered to actually learn the intricacies of female physiology because they think their bodies are the default

“The main difference between liberal feminism and radical feminism lies in the different goals of the two ideologies. Liberal feminists aim to make life more comfortable for oppressed individuals within the confines of the present system with little emphasis on doing much to dismantle the current power structure, while radical feminists seek to tear the whole system down and rebuild in a non-oppressive model so that social subjugation ceases to exist entirely.”
— My history of gender professor on the different types of feminism. (via girlanarchy)

The fact that people think Lolita is pro pedophilia but think Euphoria isn’t makes me really start to believe that media literacy being so low is a real problem.

You know how companies used to make flour sacks with pretty flower patterns on them because mothers would make dresses out of them for their daughters? We should bring that back. Paper bags designed to be reused as wrapping paper. Jars of jam designed to look nice filled with pencils or homemade sauces. Fabric that's high quality enough to use as a patch.
Give things a second life!!
