He thinks it’s so cool

Can’t understand it for the life of him but when you start signing subconsciously he will immediately be entranced by your hands and try to connect the signs to what you’re saying

Please teach him some ASL- he’ll be such a good student

He will not sit still for longer than 5 minutes but he will try his hardest for you

Wants to learn so he can meet your family

If you stop talking half way through a sentence whilst your hands are still moving?

He’ll gently take your hands in his as a way to tell you

If anyone brings up this habit of yours he’s looming behind you ready to defend you at all costs

This man will get into a big public argument for you

Asks you for a little booklet that shows him how to sign various sentences and words

He runs into the little daisy cafe and taps you repeatedly on the shoulder

You turn around chuckling slightly “yes dear?”

(His brain still melts when you call him affectionate names)

He brings his hands up in front of him so you can see them and slowly signs

(You feel your heart explode and you get the sudden urge to cry)

You sign “I-love-you-too” back to him and watch his eyes light up as he swoops you up into a hug

He’s a bit of a reluctant lover

He makes sure you know that he has an estranged wife and daughter before allowing the relationship to progress to actual courting

It’s a rocky relationship at the start but smooths out the longer it progresses

He’s very protective of you

If you used to go on bootlegging runs for Mitzi

You don’t anymore, you sit behind the bar with Viktor where he can protect you

If you insist on going he’ll let you- very very reluctantly

He learns to be gentle with you

Soft hugs from behind is the most pda you’ll get from him

He will ask you to move in to his little apartment with him

He’s invested in you

You can beat him at a chess game with almost no effort

And then you could be chasing a chicken around the maribel hotel trying to catch it laughing hysterically

It just baffles him and that’s pretty much how he fell for you

He got so invested in you he developed feelings

And when he realized this he was so in denial it’s funny

It takes at the least 4 people pointing out how differently he treats you from everyone else- that he starts to gradually accept it

Does that mean he’s going to actively do something about his feelings

Absolutely not

He’s gonna watch you closely trying to pick up on any hints that his feelings are reciprocated before he makes a move

It takes him a week of reading romance novels to even grasp the concept of asking you to be his

He decides on leaving some flowers and a letter telling you to meet him at a certain spot if you feel the same way

He’s definitely not into PDA

The most he will do is walk close to you and not be hesitant to touch you

(If he’s jealous, he might skip a hand around your waist)

It takes a while for him to get used to you hugging him- you start off asking for permission and then start slowly surprising him with hugs

When he’s drunk though? He’s so touchy with you-

He just can’t believe that you’re being so nice and loving to him

Takes him a while to calm down but when he climbs inside and takes you for a ride

He honestly starts to imagine the rest of his life with you

Hi there! I just wanted to say welcome to the Lackadaisy fandom! I hope you enjoy your stay and that you have a good day/night! I was wondering if you have any headcannons of Rocky of what he would do if he sees the reader crying or going through a hard time? What would he do to comfort them?

Also, on a separate topic but with also Rocky in it, what would he do if he became a dad? What kind of a father do you think he would be? I assume that since he had a rough childhood, he would be a great and loving dad.

If for some reason you can’t answer these questions, then I understand wholeheartedly. I wish you luck on your future endeavors!

WHAT ROCKY WOULD DO IF HE SEES YOU CRYING

He immediately goes into protective mode

Are you ok? Are you injured? DID SOMEONE HURT YOU?

He doesn’t ask you these questions at first but they are running through his mind as he pulls you in for a hug

Slowly pats the top of your head as you cry into his chest

Whispers small words of comfort

“It’s alright, you’re ok”

“You’re safe now”

“I’m here with you”

After he got you to calm down and stop crying

He will distract you

Whatever is making you sad doesn’t deserve your time

He’s not clingy at the start of the relationship

He doesn’t want to scare you off

He’s well aware that he can be too much sometimes

So he tries to suppress himself slightly

But the sooner you spot that and tell him that you like the hyperness and the clingyness because they’re what make him him?

He’s so happy with you

Everyone at the lackadaisy lounge knows about you just from rocky proclaiming various rambles and poetry about you

He of course brings you down to the lounge and introduces you to everyone

Wick is slightly relived that Rocky’s found you because hopefully you’ll distract rocky enough for wick to have an uninterrupted conversation with Mitzi

Ivy teases him, but she’s awestruck at your relationship with each other

Freckle sees the good influence you’ve had on rocky, and he sees how you accept him for him

Once you find out he’s living in his car?

He’ll be embarrassed but relived that you don’t care he’s poorer than dirt

(You’re ever so slowly moving his various belongings into your house)

You ask if he wants to stay with you at your house

He’s reluctant because he’s… well him! Why would you want him to move in?

You convince him and he stands outside your door reluctant to knock

He’s gripping his violin case shaking with nerves

He knocks and the door opens revealing you with a wide smile, the warmth pouring out of the house to embrace him

He takes a few steps inside, noting that there’s a coat hook for him, space on the shoe rack, his horrendous cactus placed lovingly among the various flowers in your house

And he breaks down, collapsing into your arms as he holds you close- thanking you over and over for loving and accepting him

You stay there for a while before he pulls himself up and you eat dinner together, rocky still sniffing a bit

He almost breaks again when he sees you placed a framed photo of you and him next to the various photos of your family

And as he curls up with you in bed he swears he doesn’t care about all of that- he knows that his home is wherever you are now

Did I get carried away? Yes. Was I listening to Angel by Sarah McLachlan? Yes. Was I inspired to write some comfort? Yes!!!!!

I would love to see a Rocky with a GN!Reader who frequented Little Daisy's without realizing there was a speakeasy underneath it, yet after finding out takes a huge step back.

Rocky always looked forward to your visits to the little daisy cafe

You on the other hand always looked forward to seeing Rocky waiting for you in one of the booths

You listened to his tales and poetry- telling him he really ought to try performing in a more upper class setting- you push this even more when he plays you a self composed tune on the violin

He almost immediately develops a crush on you-

He’s not subtle about it either

Starts kissing your hand as a greeting

If you leave your hand on the table he’ll hesitate for about 4 seconds before placing his own on top

If you let him lace your paws together he lets out the biggest smile (it almost blinds you)

“I do believe the sun rises and sets on you”

Translation: you are the most important thing to me

He didn’t realize that you didn’t know about the speakeasy

But he also knew he couldn’t tell you because you’d obviously shown your reluctance to include anything to do with alcohol in your life

So when you come back after a ‘date’ with Rocky (you left your hat behind) to find the cupboard slightly ajar revealing steps down to what you know is a speakeasy

You leave… and don’t return for two weeks

Next time you see Rocky, you’re waiting outside the cafe, not inside

And you tell him that you know the cafe is a cover for a speakeasy and he comes clean

He’s panicking, he can’t loose you- you mean far to much to him now

You have to let him explain there- or he’ll follow you home still trying to explain himself to you

Rocky had just finished explaining- or at least trying to explain- the whole business with the little daisy, or you supposed you should call it the lackadaisy lounge

And there were so many emotions running through your brain- betrayal at being lied to, hurt that he hadn’t told you sooner, doubt in what your small relationship had come to

You held both of Rocky’s hands and whispered, tears gathering in your eyes slightly as you did so

“Are your feelings for me…true?”

Rocky’s hands squeezed yours, his normal smile gone as a worried frown replaced it

“My feelings for you are as true as the night sky, unwavering and eternal…”

He let go of your hands and took your face in his hands gently, almost afraid to break what he most loved

“Every beat of my heart whispers your name, and every moment with you feels like a dream come true”

He pressed his forehead to yours as he let you sniffle before you pulled him down and pressed a small kiss to his cheek

Your relationship would have many bumps, this being the first but as he smiled at you, you knew it would be worth it

Soft Moments With Serafine and Nicodeme

Listen she’s not used to being in a commited relationship

But that doesn’t mean she doesn’t try

She only shows the soft side of her when it’s just you two- her brother is an exception

Likes making food together

One day you asked her about her favorite foods growing up and once you saw a small sparkle as she was describing it you knew you had to attempt to make some of it

You go to Nico for help (he 100% laughs but internally is like “i like the idea of you courting my sister better now”

Basically he appreciated the gesture

You take lessons with him on how to make Jambalaya

Imagine Serafine comes back from a mission with her brother and Mordecai and traipses the Maribel looking for you- only to smell something familiar

Pokes her head around the door of the kitchen to watch you finish making the Jambalaya- adding the extra kick of spice her brother had told you she likes

She quietly walks up behind you and wraps her arms around your waist as you explain that you wanted to surprise her with the food she loved

She will never admit it but she definitely swooned a bit

Presses kisses all over your face and thoroughly enjoys the meal you prepared- noting it’s not the same as her childhood favorite but it’s been personalized which makes it all the more special

Whilst you’re both cleaning up she pulls you into a soft kiss and whispers

“Merci beaucoup cher”

He’s also not used to being in a long term relationship, but when he gets into one with you, you can tell the difference

He’s soft when he wants and shows it how he wants

He will blow kisses to you in the most obvious of manners whenever he pleases whether that be in the middle of a mission discussion or during the actual fight

He says your kisses are a good luck charm for him so he makes sure he receives one before every fight

Insists you come to his every boxing match

“How about a kiss, for luck of course”

Like Serafine, he adores when you cook for him but he loves it when you can cook together

He loves spicy soul food so unfortunately so do you-

Though if you can’t handle it- he’ll insist you split the food before you add the spice so that you can enjoy too

He loves giving you forehead kisses especially if you’re smaller

Maybe if you’re lucky and his calendar is empty he’ll take you fishing- mainly to show off but also to just be alone with you for a bit

ROCKY REACTING TO YOU GETTING INJURED

It’s like time slows down for him

He doesn’t even register you’re injured until he sees the pain on your face

His first thought is “I should’ve stopped it from happening”

His second thought is “murdermurdermurder”

He makes sure you’re safe, gathers all his strength in his spaghetti arms and manages to lift you

Whilst you’re healing he claimed it was “simply the power of romance and the desire to be your knight”

What it really was, was adrenaline rush- he just wanted you safe

Takes a long good look at whoever hurt you- if he can’t deal with the person now? He will…later

Yeah whoever hurt you is long gone now

Whilst you’re healing he’s constantly by your bedside

Sometimes he’ll come bouncing in, waxing poetry and telling you about his day

Others he will play a tune on the violin for you

But there are days where he just sits next you, face somber as he squeezes your hand as if to ensure you’re still really there

Yeah he’s now traumatized and a hell of a lot more protective

He won’t stop you from coming on the bootlegging missions so to speak- but he will purposely hide all your shoes and make a habit of trying to leave swiftly

He just loves you a lot ok
