(( Welp I  know no one rp’s much on here but Roxy DID say we could hold the halloween event we wanted to a while ago, so I think that would be a super good idea to try to do it soon. Why don’t you all respond to this with the soonest times you’d be good for a group rp, prrroobbabblyy over skype? I am nootttt sure whether everyone wants it to be trick or treating or a costume party either, so fire awaayyyy It would suck for our rp to blatantly die, so I hope we can do thiss!))

Sollux sat for a few minutes, rubbing his face. It wasn't so hard to ask her to go the fucking doctors, was it?
2o you wanna go two the doctor2 wiith me tomorrow
Rose was working on homework - when was she not, these days? - when her phone buzzed angrily at her.  Frowning, she picked it up and checked the sender.  Now, what is this about?  Her fingers quickly tapped out an answer:
I am.  With what may I assist you, Sollux?
She set it on her desk, watching for it to light up again.

Sollux sat on the edge of his bed, rubbing his head. Why the fuck couldn’t he sleep? It wasn’t that fucking hard for one boy to close his eyes and just…sleep. Sure, he had a chance to go to the doctors about that. Heck, he even had an appointment to go a few days ago. He skipped it. He skipped it because Rose was sick and that was more important than some shitty sleeping habits he had going on in his body. He groaned before flopping back over on his bed. A small vibration started on his desk, faintly hitting his ears as he grabbed up the object of said noise. In big, bright, letters, the screen displayed the word “DAD”. Ugh. Sollux lazily slid is finger over the Answer button and pressed the phone to his ear.
“Sollux Captor.” The voice at the other end said sternly
Inwardly cringing at the voice as he tried to make a small attempt to say something and explain himself. “Dad….I….”
“Don’t ‘Dad’ me now, you’re going to shut up and listen to me. You were supposed to go the damn doctor days ago. I didn’t have time to remind your computer hacking ass to go, nor should I have had to do that. Then I get a call informing me that you never showed up. What the hell is that about I wondered? Then I thought about what an irresponsible prick my son is! I was going to wait though, thinking maybe you had school work to do and just couldn’t go. But you didn’t call and explain to me about anything. So now, I made you a new appointment that you’re going to have to go to. If you don’t, you’re coming home so I can take you myself. You better be at the doctors by 12:00 tomorrow, I sent you doctor’s office address a while ago, now go the fuck to sleep.” The voice was stern the whole time, before the phone clicked off.
Sollux just listened the whole time, staring up at the ceiling. When the phone call ended, he just laid there for a few minutes. It was only 10:30 at night. With a small sigh, he flipped his phone around and sent out a text to Rose.
you awake

Sollux sighed and crawled over to the part of the bed where he normally ended up sleeping. Wrapping himself in the blanket, he shoved his face into the pillow. Aw yes. He propped his head up, waiting for Rose to lay down. "Thee you can't thay mad at me for long, that'th why...." He paused, not knowing what he should even say now. "That'th why we're thuch good friendth." Sollux finally said, yawning and shoving his face back into the pillow.
Rose scooted further onto her bed and shuffled around until she had acquired another blanket and two pillows.  “Fine.  I will.  And we both know you don’t have the energy required to get across the room.”  Rose shoved a pillow and the blanket at him before wrapping herself up more tightly in her own.  “Go to sleep, Sollux, and I promise I’ll attempt to get some rest myself.”

"Rothe, if anybody can tell when thomeone needth thleep ith me." Sollux said, falling onto the bed. He tried to curl up, he missed being under his blanket. God damn it was cold. "Jutht thleep...pleathe?" he looked up at her, yawning and shaking his head. Fuck this cold. Fuck having feelings. Fuck sleep. "If it maketh you happy I wont lay in bed with you like I alwayth do, Ill jutht thit on the chair."
The noise that came from Rose could be best described as a squall when Sollux lifted her from the ground.  “Sollux Captor, you will put me down right now-“  For all that she was blustery, she wasn’t fighting against his hold.  Either she didn’t want to hurt him or she was too tangled up in her blanket to be able to.  She landed on her bed in an ungraceful pile of girl and blanket.  Cold hands pulled her afghan up onto her head; lavender eyes glared out from underneath it, though the bags under her eyes lessened the effect of the baleful stare.  “Don’t want to sleep,” she grumbled.

"Fuck, Thith ith bullthit!" Sollux said, throwing his arms up and dropping the comforter.  He was going to drain all his energy doing this, but fuck if he cared. Stepping closer to Rose, Sollux braced himself. Wrapping his arms around her waist, he picked her up. He was straining himself, it was obvious. People who were mostly bone and sick should not be picking up anybody. "I'm going to die." He groaned, carrying her over the her bed and setting her on it. "Thleep now."
“And we both know if you carry out such a plan of action I will not only have my sister repair whatever you do to my computer but I’d also send her after you to teach you why you don’t sabotage her gifts.”  Rose squinted at Sollux and gripped the doorpost.  Did she just sway slightly on her feet?  Of course not.  She would never.  She hitched her shoulders and tugged her afghan closer around her shoulders.  “I would suggest you turn around and pull your nose out of my business before it gets taken off!  I am perfectly capable of going to bed and taking care of myself, thank you very much!”

Sollux rolled his eye, about to roll out something that made no sense. Well then the door flung open and he was face to face with one angry Rose. Woah. "Rothe we both know that if you thend me to my room I will thend you a viruth tho bad you won't even be able to turn the computer back on." He snapped back. "Now I would thuggetht that you let me in tho I can thend you bed and get back to being my own kindth of thick."
“Oh, for the love of all that’s sacred and holy!”  Rose hunched herself further under her afghan.  She wasn’t going to deal with this, Captor had brought this on himself-
Oh, for.  She couldn’t just leave him to sit in the hall.  She grumbled several less-than-ladylike words on her way to the door.  When she got there, she whipped it open and outright glared at the hacker on the other side.  “Go back to your room, Captor.”  Someone was obviously cranky.

"Rothe I will thtay h-" Sollux coughed into his blanket, shaking his head. "Here until you open the door!" he finished off. He was intent on even sitting outside her door until she answered. There was no way he was going to let her sit awake and work when she was sick, that just wouldn't work. "I'm not thleeping until you thleep firtht."
“What on- Captor, go away!”  Rose glared at the door on the other side of the room.  She could not be bothered to deal with this.  She had far too much to do.  Forget that her head hurt and her chest hurt and her eyes hurt and her nose was raw from how many tissues she’d used.  “I’m trying to work on my homework!”  She sneezed into her elbow.  “Go back to bed!”

Sollux gathered himself together, dragging the comforter off his bed. Alright, time to make the journey to the girls rooms, upstairs. Christ. This would take up all his energy, but it was worth it. It was Rose and he was putting up with bullshit because he cared. His hair was a mess. His glasses didn’t even look like they belonged on his face in his current state. Marching his way upstairs, he stood in front of her door. Thumping his head on the door (his hands were busy keeping the blanket around him), he groaned. “Rothe open the door.”

Sollux blinked, the warmth from on top of him having left nearly an hour ago. The light now shining into the common room was blinding, so he figured he might as well get up. Upon doing so, he felt the sickness running through his body. Fuck. He swallowed the sick in his throat, rubbing his face. God no. He tried to breathe through his nose, being hit with the fact that his nose was stuffed up. Taking a deep breath, Sollux stood up and walked out of the common room and to his room.
Once inside his room, he made his way to the shower, cleaning himself up. Still felt like shit. He quickly dressed himself in something warm and snuggled his way under the covers with his laptop. He had that sick feeling some people get in their stomachs when being sick, but surely this cold wouldn’t last for long.
Sollux found himself typing a short message for tumblr
iim 2iick agaiin alriight where are more free priize2 for mo2t cold2 iin half a 2chool year
He shut off the computer, tossed his phone on his desk, and laid down in bed. Pressing his back on the wall like always, he closed his eyes and went back to sleep.

Sollux relaxed his grip, settling against Rose. He didn't reply to her this time, he just sat there. Nodding at her, he took a deep breath. "You're right,I'm tho fucking thorry...." He mumbled to her. He was trying to calm himself down, just enough so his words wouldn't sound so broken and frail. I love you, this hurts more then you know. The words shot him point blank in the mind, thats what he wanted to tell her.
“Maybe,” Rose said gently, “it’s about time for you to stop being alone.  Perhaps it would be better if you didn’t say goodbye to the people who help you and leave.”  She rested her head on his shoulder.  “Oh, Sollux, I know how it feels to be lonely.  You don’t have to be, not anymore.”  She could feel the tension under her hands; he was really worked up about this.  Biting her lip, she held her breath for a moment:  she wouldn't sniffle, she just wouldn't.

Sollux shook his head, because for the first time since he was 8, he was scared. He had no idea why he was scared, but he was. "T-The more they help, the harder it ith for me to thay goodbye and let go. It'th better to jutht be alone, but you made it hard for me to do that." Hugging her tighter, Sollux let out a shakey sigh. "I cant do thith......"
“You don’t have to do it alone, Sollux.”  It took everything Rose had to keep from sniffling herself.  “You don’t.  I’m here.”  She hugged him tighter and started rubbing his back again.  “You don’t have to do everything on your own, Sollux - you have friends who want to help you, if you’d only let us.”

"Jutht...." Sollux's voice was really quiet. It was one of those rare times where he wasn't complaining about something that was stupid. Right now, he was 14 years old and he was crying. "I cant do it by mythelf, I....I....Rothe....." He made himself shut up, knowing the words that would slip if he didn't. He loved her and he couldn't say it out loud.
“Oh, Sollux.”  It was a heavy, heart-felt sigh.  Rose tugged him closer to her, resting her head against his neck.  “It’s not your fault.  Don’t blame yourself for this.”  She squeezed her eyes shut and ignored the feeling of her glasses digging into the side of her face.  Her entire front was damp again already.  Oh, well.  She took a deep breath and let it out slowly, trying to keep her composure.  “It’s all right, Sollux.  I’m not going to do that again.”

Sollux heaved himself upwards on her, holding her closer. Burying his face into her hair, he let out a tiny hiccup of a sob. "You didn't do thit, fuck up about it." he told her. Even after all that he went through, Sollux could not stay mad at Rose. He loved her to much for that, something that would never change."I mithed you more then you think was pothible.....I'm thorry".
Rose gathered the poor, scared, distraught boy into her arms and hugged him.  “Sh,” she soothed.  “It’s all right, Sollux.  I’m not going anywhere.  I’m right here.”  Sure, he was soaking her clothes all over again, but that was a secondary concern.  She was already going to be ill; why not go for broke?  She rubbed soothing circles on his back.
“I won’t,” she promised.  “I won’t do that again.  I’m sorry, Sollux, I thought that you wouldn’t want to see me again.  I didn’t want to force myself on you, not after all that I’ve done to you.  I missed you so much, Sollux.”

Sollux squeezed Roses hand, the words of self care had fallen to deaf ears, whimpering quietly. His mind was trying to pull him into saying what he wanted to say. Instead, he went on about things that scared him. Terrified. "Rothe don't ever leave me, pleathe. Fuck, if you were gone id lothe my fucking mind. I will go more inthane then I am." he whimpered, his voice cracking as he tried to talk.
He kept going. He should have shut up, wrapping his arms around her. "Fuck, jutht don't leave me. I can't do thith without you buy me thide. The latht two weekth were horrible, I thought I was going to die. Don't leave me." He repeated to himself again. Oh god. He was trying so hard not to bust out into heavy sobs, but he felt tears rolling down his cheek.
“I doubt that you not caring for yourself is going to cause a reaction so drastic as forbidding you to return to school,” Rose said.  “If anything, he’ll likely just require you to take better care of yourself, likely with the addendum that you’re to check in with him now and again to ensure that you’re following through with such.”  She picked her pencil back up and returned to writing.
But only for a second.  When Sollux repeated himself and then asked his question, she put all of her work down and faced him.  “Sollux Captor, listen to me.”  Gently taking his hands between her own, she stared directly into his eyes.  “I am your friend - and you are mine - until you decide that you no longer want anything to do with me.”  The thought that he might not want to see her again was not a pleasant one, but she wasn’t going to dwell on it.  Sollux needed comforting and giving in to teenage angst herself wasn’t going to help any.  “There is nothing that will change that.”

Letting out a loud groan, Sollux pressed his head into the couch more. "Thee, jutht like how your acting! That'th gonna be him!" he let out a cough, before hitting his chest. Using a voice that would sound like an older man, he spoke. "Oh Thollux you look tho thkinny. Are thothe bagth under your eyeth? Alright thatth it, your not going back to that thchool.".
Huffing just a bit, his voice got quiet. He ignored the talk of medicines, now staring into her eyes. Wow. He liked he glasses, they fit her face nice. "I mean thure I'd love to leave thith place and be home but.....I wouldn't.......I wouldn't...." he repeated a few more times to himself. God, he could feel himself slowly breaking down. "I wouldn't thee you.....we're thill friendth...........right." he asked her slowly. Solluxs voice was small and questioning, but mostly nervous and cracking. He was scared, only for that fact that Rose didn't understand.
“You really should take better care of yourself,” Rose told him.  “There are more people than just your father who worry about you.”  Well, she hadn’t quite meant to say that, but at least it was true.  She fished out a plain black glasses-case from her book bag.  “I’m sure that several people would be greatly relieved if you were to amend your habits for the better.  Concern isn’t something to shrug off.”
Opening the case, she popped a pair of dark purple reading glasses on her nose.  She looked over them at Sollux.  “At least I know that I have the best remedy for colds available to me.  If you should desire it, I can make for you some green tea with jasmine and chamomile.  It’s a God-send when one is fighting a cold.”
