Most common Cjr gear abilities

So, here's how I'm going to do this. I'm going to show the data I got and compiled from sendou.ink, compare it to previous data sets and share my opinion if I have one.

Here's the data I got from the previous 25 sets for cjr on sendou, I added people's names and numbers to give them credit, but when there is a repeating name, I simply took the latest gear they uploaded since I didn't want the same gear twice with just a few slots changed.

The numbers there correspond with each gear ability, i.e. 1 for Ink Saver (Main), 2 for Ink Saver (Sub), etc.

Then, I manually count with each number of how common they are (if anyone has a way to speed this up, please tell me, my eyes are dying-) and put it in this table. I'm using online Excel for this, so on the next column:

I can insert a SUM function which will count the total amount an ability appears. I then grab the AP of the weapon which is a button near the top and write that down, and because I've already done this once before for the cjr, I added the previous sums to add onto my data. It's important to know what was previously used, because even if something has been nerfed stupid crazy, nothing is unusable and even if the effect is lessened, what worked in a previous patch should still work to an extent.

Then I add another SUM column adding allllll that previous data together and I realised, oh boy if I keep doing this, the numbers are going to get uncontrollably high! So I added one last column that halves all the numbers which makes them much more manageable, and also if the numbers are really close, then it lets you separate them a little more.

Then I put those numbers in, sort the numbers by descending and...

There you have it! The most common gear abilities used for the Custom Splattershot Jr! You can do this for any weapon, and I'll post some more tomorrow, but for now, I want to compare it to the previous data set I made.

I added some notes to tell you what went up and down, and it's pretty even between no change and change. The ability that went up the most was Object Shredder and the abilities that went down all only got moved by one so that's very equal.

One thing to note is that the points are spread more equally across the board. While most of the points still belong to Last-Ditch Effort, There's a lot more abilities that are over 20 than the last time I did it.

The reason why people play cjr nowadays is because of it's torpedo output, you want to be throwing as many as possible and it helps with how ink efficient the jr's are. That's why you see Ink Saver (Sub) so close to the top. The Cjr is also a very mobile weapon, even without Swim Speed you're quite fast because of it's weapon class.

Overall, if you want to main Cjr, I recommend using abilities that help with sharking and throwing your torpedos. Since it's special nerf, you don't need to focus on painting for your special. You'll get it at a more natural pace since that patch while beforehand you were getting it so often.

Keep in mind, you can use any gear you want and you shouldn't worry about this sort of thing if you don't want to! I just find it interesting to see what other people are using and if you've gotten this far, I think you might to! Just in case, here's the gear set I use for the cjr myself.

Hello tumblr! I've decided to make a blog dedicated to my special interest: Splatoon 3!

I've been a big fan of the game since it first came out but I've only been able to play for about a year.

I main the Custom Splattershot Jr. and use mid to backline weapons when I'm not using my main. I'm a casual player but I do like to win so I have some skill (I play buttons lol)

What I want to use this blog for is to talk about anything I hear about with Splatoon, and also post about what gear abilities people are using most for weapons I like!

If anyone would want to request a weapon of their own, feel free to. I'm going to post some of my spreadsheets for the weapons I've done so far in a bit.

I'm gonna be using this blog as my own personal journal about Splatoon but I want to share the stuff I find with people! So here it is! :)
