The Shame-Faced Boulder Crab (Calappa pseudopetra) is a large species of rock-mimicking crustacean.
Found in beaches and cliffs, they use their inconspicuous appearance to blend in and patiently wait for prey to approach them. When the moment is right, they strike for the kill.
Due to their heavy exoskeleton, adult C. pseudopetra rarely move during their lifetimes. To avoid expending energy, they will let themselves be pushed by the tide to slowly move. They will only voluntarily leave their hiding spot once, as their final effort, to find a mate.

Comet, Planet, Moon Image Credit & Copyright: Juan Carlos Casado (Starry Earth, TWAN)
Explanation: Three bright objects satisfied seasoned stargazers of the western sky just after sunset earlier this month. The most familiar was the Moon, seen on the upper left in a crescent phase. The rest of the Moon was faintly visible by sunlight first reflected by the Earth. The bright planet Jupiter, the largest planet in the Solar System, is seen to the upper left. Most unusual was Comet 12P/Pons-Brooks, below the Moon and showing a stubby dust tail on the right but an impressive ion tail extending upwards. The featured image, a composite of several images taken consecutively at the same location and with the same camera, was taken near the village of Llers, in Spain’s Girona province. Comet Pons-Brooks passed its closest to the Sun last week and is now dimming as it moves into southern skies and returns to the outer Solar System.

If you have a new neighbor moving in, go introduce yourself to them and welcome them to the building/neighborhood. Welcome cards or welcome gifts aren't mandatory but aren't a bad idea either. It's also nice to bake them cookies or other treats if you feel up to it, but it might be a good idea to find out if they have any food allergens first.
Although moving into a new home can be an exciting time for many, it can also be a scary, frustrating, and uncertain time for many. A kind gesture from a new neighbor can really make a difference if someone falls into the latter category. And either way, forming connections with your neighbors can be really important for developing a sense of community. Being friendly with your neighbors can really come in handy if you're ever in a pickle such as your phone is dead and you're locked out, or nobody in your household can get that jar open that you need for dinner that night, ect.
