I love how in Psycho-Pass the big secret is that psychopaths rule the world. And that only citizens who are aware observers and who stick to their beliefs in equality for everyone are the obstacle to the unfettered control of those psychopaths.

The first part of that is true about our world.

me, late at night when I should be asleep already: is it possible Nana loved Ren so much because he gave her a dream? Because he made her realize her talent and gave her a reason to live and to go on? Did she have the feeling that this shared dream was what kept them together? Did she have the feeling that Ren only loved her because of their shared goal? Was that maybe one of the unconscious reasons Ren left, because he wanted to prove her wrong? But she felt so betrayed because giving up their shared dream was giving up on her and thus proving her self-conscious thoughts true? And maybe when he died she finally truly understood his heart and maybe she realized that their love was a lot deeper than just a shared dream and even though it was mostly rough and never easy he was the love of her life, he gave her purpose and she realized that he was as flawed as she was. That he has been all this time. And instead of dying with him she decides to honor him by doing what he gifted her with: performing. But not for the fame, money or anything else. Simply for Ren. Simply for the act of performing itself that he introduced her to. And always near the sea. Always near to Ren.
