Good morning I made a reference for how I want to draw Sir Algenon (both with and without his hat) because A. He's very difficult to get a good reference photo of (outside of a couple of iterations such as his 2015 outfit and the hotel booklets) and B. I wanted to keep things consistent whilst pulling some inspiration from different iterations of him :)

The shirt, waistcoat, and tie are all pulled from his 2015 outfit, but it has appeared in other forms of his too.

The hairstyle and beard are in reference to his 2021 stage form, but the colour pulls more inspiration from the booklets (although the red did get dulled a bit to fit nicely with the other colours)

The coat, especially the patches, take inspiration from his 2014 Hotel outfit, but the colour of it is slightly more reminiscent of his 2023 lawn shows coat (which I also believe to be either the same or similar to the one he wore for the 2019 opening ceremony!)

The patches on his jacket are all coloured after the crystals representing the Powers of Alton Towers, except for the Heartstone, the colour of which is seen in his eyes.

The trousers and boots with spats come from a few different places, but mainly the 2014 Hotel shows, although the spats (or at least ones that look similar did show up in the 2019 opening ceremony too. They do look a tad different though because I’m not good at taking references KDNSKSN

The style of hat takes loose inspiration from the 2015, 2019, and 2022 fireworks, although the colour of it was more intended to match the 2019 fireworks version.

The only show I didn't really take reference from is the 2018 Fireworks, but in my defence you just straight up can't see the details on him for most of it KHSJSB

I found out that it is apparently a Smiler Yozo toy! It shakes and laughs maniacally if you clap at it or smack it on the head.

Its cute but apparently there's no off switch so its basically a furby with a mind of its own lmao
