19, She/Her/Hers. I made this here separate blog for Cyberchase+Wordgirl shitposting cause I'd rather keep it separate from there. On eternal Jules and InvisiBill brainrot.
i don’t know who needs to hear this, but here it goes: you don’t have to repeatedly and harshly punish yourself for every little thing you think you do wrong. you don’t have to diminish or eliminate your worth and dignity in order to become a better person and acknowledge your mistakes. please forgive yourself, please keep going and please, be flawed! perfection is unattainable.
I love Scoops. He’s an icon, and his value in the show is literally inescapable. He’s a friend. A confidant. A crush at one point. Expanding on the “confidant” point, he’s also the only one to know about Becky over the show, except in the finale, and that really means that he’s the only person to see Becky for both her identities for more than an episode. That is crucial to the show and I love that he’s the one to know because it brings him into a place of even more importance. He’s incredible, and I feel like I overlook him a lot and I have no idea why.
Ok, it’s learning about Cloud time. I multiship like mad. If you asked me who I ship TB with it would take a 10 page essay, no lie. Scoops wasn’t able to escape from my rapid multishipping either. So let’s start, shall we? I love him with Violet. I think they’re cute. Sue me. I’ve seen him shipped with Tobey and while I think the two would have definite issues in the beginning I think if they worked on them FIRST they’d be really cute. Enemies to lovers is hard for me to ship unless it’s really done right. I don’t really see Scoops with Becky at all, I feel like it’s much better if it’s done platonically. ALSO! You thought I’d forget about Rose Franklin? You thought WRONG!! I love it. Reporters in love? ABSOLUTELY. 10/10. I think in a lot of cases romance can rise from shared interests and that definitely works. That’s about it for Scoops with shipping.
Non-romantic ships is easy. I love him and Becky’s dynamic. I love the trio that’s formed from him, Violet, and Becky. I think it’s classic. But Becky and Scoops’s friendship, that’s iconic. They’re clearly bonded now.
Unpopular opinions... uh. I don’t really have any, except that I feel that he and Tobey don’t like each other very much in reality and I think people need to see it more. I’ve seen mingcallister shipped a lot recently and just in general I think people should consider how much work needs to be done for anything with Tobey to not be a disaster. I don’t NOT support it but I think more consideration should be had for Tobey’s ships in general. But that’s not really as much about Scoops as it is Tobey.
Honestly? For episode ideas, I’d love to see what Scoops’s days would look like from his perspective, especially after figuring out about Becky. I’d love to see that period where he adjusts to knowing the secret and keeping it. But I’m a nerd. I’d also like a future episode because I’d love to see him later on.

Making these posts is not how I want to spend my time. I would much rather focus on Asian American power, joy, resilience, and resistance. No community wants to be defined by the worst things they’ve experienced. This series isn’t a submission to the oppression olympics or a pity party. I want to educate people in order to help connect the dots so we can see how the same kind of racism twists and evolves over time, but hasn’t gone away. Some events you might recognize, like the Chinese Exclusion Act, or Executive Order 9066 which was signed 79 years ago on this day. I hope everyone who reads these simply has a better understanding of Asian American history, and aims to do better now that you know better.
