Lost patience with my White friends for being clueless idiots and worse, pretending... to be clueless idiots. “Oh, gee, I didn’t know that. I just don’t want to do anything that I have to think too much about”. No one else does this. No one else can afford to be second best and who’d want to? The temporary brain damage & airhead thing is because they can get away with it and put their brain back in when it suits them. Am I wrong? I think it’s even more sinister than that, but I’ll keep it to myself.

This isn’t as whiney as it seems; while certain groups of white people ( with my friends it’s usually the ones pulling six figures or or acting like they do) consistently pretend they didn’t notice this or that, the people who notice everything because they absolutely need and want to know gain advantages/opportunities, if only they look around them and see just how many are asleep... or pretending to be asleep or hoping you believe they aren’t paying attention- god forbid you should introduce some thoughtful topic and tax their overworked heads.

I’m a little steamy on this because I’ve known so many people so intimately for so long and always looked for the best in everyone or tried to draw it out. Iike the flick of a very large switch, I started to see that a lot of these people constinuously play dumb. Knowing precisely why is too shitty.

If you’re my friend, stop playing.
